Share your quitting journey
About 15 Years ago I had a Year of smobriety and worked in a restaurant. I would purposefully choose to hang out in the smoking section and actually thought it made my quit stronger. I also hung out on breaks with the smokers at the picnic bench in back (next to the garbage.)
Every Friday a group of guys would come to my house for some card games, chain smoking and a botlle of bourbon. When I quit I never changed any of this even though I have never been much of a drinker.
I thought I had this quitting thing down!
I remember when things started to break down. The guys would challenge me to take a puff but stay smokeless.Me believing myself cool and macho of course, took up the challenge. And won - the first time!
But there came a day when I said "to hell with it! I already proved that I can quit whenever I want and I'll do it again - just not today!" I smoked about a pack that night.
Those "not today's" lastest for 9 more Years!
Don't believe that you can continue with the same lifestyle! You can't!
That;s the difference between being smober (for awhile)and being Smoke FREE for Life!
