Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it's not
going to go away. Elvis Presley

Approximately 480,000 people die prematurely from smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke each year in the United States.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2014:

80,000 people died of alcohol

6,955 died of AIDS

35,369 died of car accidents

66,452 died of drug use — legal and illegal

16,121 died of murder

and 41,149 died of suicide
