The life that conquers is the life that moves with a steady resolution and persistence toward a predetermined goal. Those who succeed are those who have thoroughly learned the immense importance of plan in life, and the tragic brevity of time. W.J. Davison So what is our goal? To not smoke? For me, the answer is no! I have gone Months not smoking but still romancing the addiction. All I wanted was to get back to my lover - my Sickerette! My FIX! My goal has been FREEDOM from Addiction! I can't change the FACT that I am an Addict and will always be one! But I can now savor FREEDOM from Addiction. I hear you, "Now Thomas, stop playing with words!" Seriously, I'm NOT! I'm explaining the difference that makes this THE QUIT for LIFE! Not Months, not until something bad happens, not until I feel good and can breathe and stop coughing again, FOR LIFE! So how does an Addict become Addiction FREE? You live LIFE abundantly! You relinquish ALL of those illusions that Addiction creates in you: Sickerettes help me relax, an occasional Sickerette won't hurt, I have the RIGHT to Smoke! You name your own! There isn't a single one of them that is TRUTH! Not ONE! So is this FREEDOM achievable for an Addict? YES! But you have to KNOW THE ENEMY! You have to ask yourself - what is the goal of that thought: Boy, a Sickerette would sure be nice right about now! - My next FIX! That's all my Addictive Mind wants! On day 5 or Day 50, on Day 500 or Day 5000 - My next FIX! Because Addictive thinking knows that I'm a puff away from a pack a Day - and always will be! Cut those Nico-Lies down to size! Good Gracious! Do you (=me=NicoDemon) really think I'm going to throw away a 500 Day QUIT? ROFLMAO! I got better things to do - like Living Smoke FREE Abundantly! THAT IS THE GOAL! That is the Plan! That's how you get to One Year and a Half Smoke FREE and LOVING IT!
