SMOKING KILLS!

We can't say it enough! When I was a smoker (510 days ago- YEA, ME!) if I had been offered to take part in a Heart Disease Prevention Program, I would have said, "Let me think about that." Then I'd go outside, grab a sickerette, puff, puff, puff, and when I was done my response, "I 'm just too busy these days!" Busy doing what??? Did you know I spent an HOUR and a half every day puffing my life away???? Some excuse! But the truth was I didn't want to know! The entire time I was smoking, I was afraid about what damage my body was enduring but I knew that if I FOUND OUT - I'd HAVE TO QUIT! Better keep my head in the sand and not know! Now, as an Exer, I want to know! I can't do anything about the harm already done - I have Stage II COPD/Emphysema - but I swear to myself and to my Family that I WILL do all I can to take good care of myself now! So when they asked if I wanted to participate in the study I said Yes! I'm still scared but better to know than to not know! Fortunately, considering my condition, my HEART is in good shape - for NOW! So it's my task to keep it that way! I'll be making some changes in my exercise program and nutrition - then, I can let go and let God! He knows whether I've done my part and I intend to! The rest is His Business! It's amazing how the Quit is Positively affecting every aspect of my Health for the Positive and SMOKING KILLS YOU in multiple ways with every single puff!!!!
