Oh My.....No Smoke For 4 Years

It don't seem that long but April 3 rd 2009 I got up poured a cup of coffee and took the dogs out and did NOT light up the first cig of the day. I was on my 8 th day of chantix and my plan was to just give it my best shot, just one time at not smoking a pack a day. I was really tired of getting chewed out by the Doc and getting bronchitis every winter was a warning sign future health problems were going to get worse if I continued to smoke. I, like all of us knew smoking was bad but the illusion of the addiction is I won't get sick that is always someone else. Not true, if you smoke you will suffer some kind of illness eventually.  So here I am 4 years later and I do not miss smoking nor do I ever plan on lighting one up. There is no pleasure from smoking. When you accept that, quitting is easy.
