Dear Marlboro Lights 100's,
We have been through many ups and downs together. You have been there since my grandfather's death on my 18th birthday. Yep, I turned 18, my grandfather and rock passed away. He was gone and you gladdly took his place as my advisor, my rock, my counsel, my confidant, and you never left my side you helped me cope when I did not know how. Yes, I was blinded by your false since of peace. All the while, you where 'killing me softly.'
Yes, I must say it is not me -- It is you! You took away my oportunity to learn how to cope with the normal stressors of life. Now, after 25 years of this push and pull this back and forth. We are together, we are apart. This time I must say goodbye for good. I must implement healthy coping skills and end this long time love affair.
I have found a better, healthier advisor, rock, counsel, confidant who has also been here the entire time. I just never gave me a chance to be there for me. I let myself sit on the sidelines and watch you kill me and now I am giving myself a chance to heal. To grow, to learn how to cope with normal life stressors, and most of all to be healthy...
