I’ve watched many in their effort here. And like I’ve said before, most who join or visit are gone within the day. We never know of them or their struggles. But let me say something about those who do stay & are sincere in their commitment.
I think we all began with the notion that this was about quitting the vile weed. It is for the most part but there is so much that goes along with it if we only let it happen.
Do you see what I see? Do you see the confidence in someone after a month or more? Check out anyone’s first post & then one of their current blogs. There will be a world of difference in their words. There are people attempting things apart from smoking that would have seemed impossible to them earlier. I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna do that, I’ve gotten out of a bad relationship, I started skydiving, going to school, running a marathon, volunteering, dancing & countless other activities. You’re in the process of doing one of the most difficult things you’ll ever do & it’s making you realize you’re capable of so much more. You “get it”. I am proud of each & every one of you. You endure the suffering as long as it takes & begin your lives again. And you do it all the while instilling that confidence in others who have yet to understand, that do not yet “get it”. They want what you’ve got. You’re all hero’s & a great inspiration to everyone on this website.
Merry Christmas & keep on keepin on,
