We are getting really close to our move date to the new EX platform! There’s going to be a lot happening behind the scenes over the next few days. Here’s what you need to know:
When is the migration happening?
The date for the migration is set for 1/24/2017. We anticipate that it’s going to take around 2 hours to make the changeover.
What does this mean for you?
On Tuesday, January 24, EX will be down for a few hours, similar to how it has been during other times we’ve needed to make updates or changes to the site.
Do I need to do anything before the move?
As communicated previously, we recommend you back up your community profile if there is content in it that you would like to have on the new community platform. We were not able to move it as part of the migration but are exploring how we can possibly move the information at a future date.
What if I’ve got a craving at that time?
We have to make the move at some point, so this is bound to affect some individuals no matter when we pick. We’ve tried to choose a less-than-peak usage time for the community in order to make the move. But if you do find yourself at a moment of craving while all of this is happening, we will have an open Chatzy room happening for anyone who cares to join in a group discussion during this critical period.
How will I know when to log back in?
We will send out an email to everyone once the site it back up. Unless you’ve received specific instructions for changing your username or password, your regular method of logging in should still work. Let me know if you have any problem getting access otherwise.
What if my content is missing?
All of your blogs, comments, and other contributions to the EX site should be intact. Private messages, wall posts, your historical profile, and forum discussion posts will move in the future. If somehow we’ve missed something, we will make every effort to find out why it didn’t make it over. Please let me know about what’s missing.
