Are there any bored hair stylists here?

Here's a great way to social distance BUT having a hatchback would be an asset for sure....

I posted this pin below on Sootie's blog BUT I think it's worth a repost.....

If you're new in your quit or you're struggling with remaining quit please know that you can and will get through whatever comes your way and you will get through it Smokefree deep breaths and believe in yourself and with commitment and perseverance you will make it  it won't be easy BUT you will persevere and you will be so glad that you stuck with your precious quit journey......

I knew that it was supposed to start snowing last night but waking up this morning and looking out the window first thing this morning I had to smile at how beautiful everything looks we're supposed to get ice pellets freezing rain and rain throughout the day which will wash alot of this away be safe everyone during this Stressful time and hang on tight to the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the GIFT OF LIFE! Relapsing isn't an option not when breathing is essential to living we must be EXtra vigilant especiall during this pandemic I'm a recovering alcoholic with over 9 years of Sobriety and I'll have 6 years of being Smokefree in July BUT I woke up around 3 o'clock with a drink in one and a smoke in the other WHEW that's a wake up call not to become complacent! We're living in some scary times BUT we must continue to move forward stacking up those precious Days Of Freedom so each evening we can look ourselves in the mirror and say YAY for another Day WON....

How about a little light humor!

Wow we're definitely in some terrifying times BUT we can and must stick with our precious quits because thankfully we do have complete control over whether we smoke or not so let's continue to move forward stacking up those precious Days Of Freedom so each evening we can look ourselves in the mirror and say YAY for another Day WON! Relapsing isn't an option anymore....committment and perservence along with lots of deep breaths and knowing that we're all here for each other to help each other through these stressful times with our precious quits in tact we can and will remain Smokefree N.M.W.....Believe it.....

We must choose to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W because Life is going to keep on happening whether we relapse or NOT and choosing Not to relapse is the GIFT OF LIFE I'm stressed out and I bet many of you are over this horrifying Coronavirus as much as I'd like to knock some heads together of people that still aren't self isolating I can't BUT I can and am self isolating myself, all of the borders are now closed coming into NB except for the truckers and medical plus essential workers anyway my sons fiancee works at Wal-Mart she served a couple on Wednesday and once the sale was done the wife smiled and said they just came back from Florida and it was good to be home my sons fiancee was stunned and couldn't believe it people are supposed to go directly home and not shop! Anyway It's the law now you can be fined up to $10.000 and or time in jail if you don't comply I'm so sorry that's enough rambling whew deep breaths and let's continue stacking up our precious DOF so each evening we can say YAY for another Day WON...... I need some humor.....

How about pulling up a virtual chair and enjoy a virtual coffee and some breakfast and just breathe.

How about a smile or even a chuckle maybe a little humor will does us good.

We have to take as many deep breaths as possible and hang on tight to the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE because smoking just isn't an option anymore NOT when our lives are hanging in the balance and the lives of everyone we love we're living in some scary times BUT this will pass Lord willing and we need to still be living a Smokefree Life I know it's stressful I just got over one cold then came down with another which I'm almost positive I picked up at a Drs appointment ugh I haven't left my yard since the 3rd of March because of a cold bug I didn't want to spread my germs or get anyone elses so I've been self isolating and once I started feeling better we were put in a State of Emergency and told to stay home unless absolutely necessary my husband Mark never got my bug thank goodness but his job is one of the ones that is considered necessary so he's still working doing deliveries of oil and lubes around the province to small businesses anyway, stay safe and keep your quit another Day ONE would totally suck big time but each and every Day WON is pure freedom.....

Whether it's a good day or bad day and with this Covid 19 pandemic spreading throughout the world there's more bad days than good with tons of worry and stress I'm a news fanatic whether it's Canadian news or American news I tend to watch both because so much that happens in the States affects Canada anyway I've decided this morning to back away from the news somewhat maybe I'll catch 30 minutes in the morning and another 30 at night that's plenty enough. I don't need to be stuck in front of the TV 3 hrs a day or on my tablet catching all the news channels CTV, CBS, CBC, NTV, NBC, CNN, FOX, Global NB and the National, I like to know what's happening in the world BUT not at the EXpense of stressing myself out to the point of thinking aaah just one would be okay because that's a downright LIE and thankfully I know better and so do each of you reading this I am also a recovering alcoholic with 9 years of Sobriety and I know that just one drink could send me back to drinking 7 days a week so I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that relapsing just isn't an option for either, I need to stick with my sobriety as well as my smobriety because my life depends on it just as each of you must stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W because it's KEY to a Smokefree Life and thankfully as difficult as it can be in those early days and weeks it's also very Doable and totally worth it and even those of us that have lots of time under our belts we must remember and N.E.F - Never Ever Forget that horrid DAY ONE because going backwards isn't an option anymore BUT each and every Day WON is a GIFT of LIFE that we must nurture and protect so we can be around with the best quality of LIFE possible.....

My son and fiance called this morning and their 11 year old pug Bruce passed away in my sons arms this morning he had just got home from the graveyard shift of 11 to 7 he said it was like Bruce waited for him to come home to take his last breath they brought him over and Mark put him in the casket he built for Samantha Digger Jane our 16 year old baby girl that passed on the 7th of December we have to wait for the snow to go and the ground to thaw to bury them they're out in our old henhouse until then it's so hard to lose our furbabies losing Bruce brought back the pain of losing Sam like it was just yesterday.....

Let's have some breakfast and just have a little quality downtime and enjoy each other's virtual company  I'm so glad that smoking is not required whew let's stick together and Stay close to this site because we all need to be EXtra vigilant with our precious quits thankfully we can & must make the choice to stick with N.O.P.E N.M.W  coffee anyone! Or tea or apple juice or orange juice please have a cyber seat my friends and Fellow EXers.....

we're living in some scary times right now BUT in order to remain Smokefree while we're dealing with these life altering changes we must continue to move forward stacking up our precious DOF - Days Of Freedom because these stressful times are going to happen whether we relapse or NOT so sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W is the key to remaining Smokefree let's keep looking ourselves in the mirror each evening so we can say YAY for another Day WON NOT another Day ONE never another Day ONE because it's just not an option anymore....

Whew life can really kick us in the teeth and sometimes it'll catch us totally off guard BUT we can deal with life on life's terms without the crutch of cigarettes, I really like H.A.L.T, I know it's an A.A. Slogan even though I didn't go to alot of A.A. meetings I've got the big book and many A.A. pamplets that helped me sober up just like quitting smoking education is KEY in just about anything and everything when I was getting sober I was just way too exhausted to travel to the A.A, meetings I live in a rural area and the closest meeting place is 20 minutes away and that was only once a week the other meetings places are at least a half hour away I don't like to bug anybody so I detoxed right here in my house because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired thankfully Mark started working away at that same time which made it much easier for me because he drank every night of the week the same as I did and he still drinks but I couldn't handle drinking anymore between ulcers and a heart attack it was time to become sober which I did 9 years ago on the 14th of February and come the 14th of July I'll have 6 years of Smokefree living and I'll tell you that I also was sick and tired of being sick and tired with the damned Cancer Sticks I'm so glad that with commitment and perseverance we can choose to quit smoking and remain quit even during this terrifying time with the Covid 19 because whatever is happening will happen whether we smoke or not willingness an vigilance are key to remaining Smokefree.....

Oh yeah it's Hump Day our buddy our pal our friend our Hump Day Camel George wants to wish each of you reading this a Stressfree hasslefree BUT most importantly a Smokefree Day...... Coffee anyone?

We're living in some scary times and now we've got this Covid 19 shoved at us on top of the already craziness of the world BUT we will perservere we must hang on tight to our precious quits because LIFE happens whether we smoke or not we MUST NOT allow ourselves to throw our hands up in the air and screw up a perfectly beautiful quit And besides RELAPSING ISN'T AN OPTION ANYMORE BECAUSE WE DON'T DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE!!!!!

I remember the umph because it brought me my 1st AHA Moment which was brought many more AHA MOMENTS....

After decades upon decades upon decades upon decades upon decades of smoking it's bound to take time to relearn life without the smokes because every blessed thing we did was wrapped around them BUT thankfully with commitment and perseverance we will succeed in living a life of Freedom because our lives are worth so much more than the damned Cancer Sticks believe it because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that as difficult as quitting smoking is it's also very Doable NOT easy by any stretch of the imagination in those early days and weeks BUT absolutely Doable..... I went to bed at 9 o'clock last night and never crawled out of bed until after 10 o'clock BUT I guess I needed the EXtra sleep. All schools in NB will be closed for the next 2 weeks because of the Coronavirus scarey as Hell BUT I believe the government is doing the right thing......

In order to EXperience the Freedom of living a Smokefree Life then we must choose to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W. - No Matter What  so we can have the best quality of LIFE possible and enjoy the little things in LIFE that actually the the big things in LIFE ......BUT first you must go through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is as an EX Smoker Non Smoker or EXer it doesn't matter what you call it as long as you keep moving forward stacking up those precious Days Of Freedom so each evening you can say YAY for another Day WON.....After decades of smoking it's bound to take time to relearn life without the smokes BUT boy oh boy it's so worth it to be able to go anywhere anytime whenever wherever and however without wondering where to sneak off to suck on a damned Cancer Stick......

There's so much happening in this World that we have no control over BUT thankfully when it comes to quitting smoking and staying quit we do have complete control over whether we smoke or not so vigilance is key to remaining Smokefree it's a choice to screw up a perfectly beautiful quit or to continue to move forward so each evening you can say YAY for another Day WON it's definetly not easy in those early days and weeks by any stretch of the imagination BUT boy oh boy it's so worth once you get to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is without the damned Cancer Sticks......

Our buddy our pal our friend our Hump Day Camel George and I want to wish each of you reading this a Stressfree hasslefree BUT most importantly a Smokefree Day thankfully we can live a life of Freedom by choosing to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W because it works when applied on a daily basis, it's my oldest grandson Adams 16th birthday today we had a little due here on Sunday to celebrate, he also spent Thursday night and all day Friday here to which was really nice, anyway I think I'm beginning to feel a little better from this cold bug YAY and a humongous YAY for being an EXer and not having to be outside trying to suck on a damned Cancer WHEW not anymore because I don't do that anymore PLUS relapsing isn't an option anymore NOT for any of us NOT when our lives literally depends on us to nurture and protect the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE....

Here's a pic of Adam and Mason taken at Christmas, Mason will be 11 on the 25th and my son Alfred will be 37 on the 22nd he's Adams Dad we have a little break on birthdays until June once we're done with the March ones.

As long as we all choose to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W then we'll continue to move forward stacking up those precious DOF so each evening we can say YAY for another Day WON  I'm still full of this cold bug I slept a good chunk of the day yesterday and went to bed for the night at 9 o'clock and never got up until 8:30 I'm drinking lots of pure juices and water. We've got a mixed bag of weather going on so all schools are cancelled BUT Spring is coming and no matter the Weather or anything that's happening in our lives we don't need to toss our hands up in the air and screw up a perfectly beautiful quit instead let's always remember and N.E.F - Never Ever Forget that horrid DAY ONE as long as we have the right Mindset we can do just about anything we put our minds to and thankfully sticking with our quits is DOABLE definetly DIFFICULT IN THE EARLY DAYS AND WEEKS BUT DOABLE.....

I've got a full fledged cold bug going on UGH I feel like I've been on a 3 week drunk grrrrr but I haven't had a drink in over 9 years anyway I'm very thankful that I don't smoke anymore because I'd be outside trying to suck on a damned Cancer Stick coughing and choking and nearly horking up a lung or possibly even both BUT WHEW not anymore because I don't do that anymore NONE of us has to do that anymore because as difficult as quitting smoking is it's also very Doable....

Good Sunday morning everyone we've got an EXtra hour of daylight which is great but it's going to take me a few days to get used to losing that hours sleep I wish we could just leave it alone now BUT like so many things in this World we just don't have any control over it BUT thankfully when it comes to quitting smoking we do have control over whether we smoke or not so as long as we choose to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W then we'll continue to reap the benefits of a Smokefree Life, I'm so glad that as difficult as quitting smoking is it's also very Doable definetly not easy by any stretch of the imagination BUT absolutely Doable.....

It took me at least a half dozen half assed attempts at quitting smoking it wasn't until I found this site and read everything I could find about this horrid addiction that I finally realized that if I wanted to succeed in living a life of Freedom that I would have to stick with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever - N.M.W - No Matter What because that's the only way to be Free it sure as HELL isn't easy by any stretch of the imagination BUT our lives are worth so much more than the damned Cancer Sticks PLUS - S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option.....

D.E.B.S  - Decide Educate Believe Succeed and with commitment and perseverance you will be living a life of Freedom....

With commitment and perseverance you will succeed in living Smokefree it's a choice that we all have to make at some point in our lives why not take back your life from the clutches of the dreaded nicotine poison while you're able to enjoy the little things in LIFE that's actually the the big things in LIFE!

Once we get through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of and we get into that good place in our quits where we realize just how much better life is as an EX Smoker Non Smoker or EXer it doesn't matter what we call it as we stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W. - No Matter What, we can't take our quits for granted and allow ourselves to become lazy and complacent instead let's always remember and N.E.F - Never Ever Forget that horrid DAY ONE or those early days and weeks of quitting smoking Vigilance is key to remaining Smokefree whether we're in the early stages of our quits or we have months or years in our lives deserves for us to nurture and protect the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the GIFT OF LIFE ......

If it wasn't for my hubby Mark reminding me each Wednesday that it's Hump day I'd probably forget but as long as he's working a Monday to Friday job I'm sure he won'tanyway our buddy our pal our friend our Hump Day Camel George also remembers and wants to wish each of you reading this a Stressfree hasslefree BUT most importantly a Smokefree Day  it really doesn't matter where we are in our quits whether it's day ONE or ONE thousand or two thousand or three thousand all that matters is that we that we all keep moving forward because our lives literally depends on us to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance N.M.W sticking to our quits is vital to our quality of life because breathing is essential to living and besides relapsing isn't an option anymore RIGHT!!! I'm on day 2060 of my precious quit journey and I still smile at each and every Day WON.

When you're in the throes of horrendous cravings and moodswings and lack of sleep it's really easy to think geesh just ONE would be OK BUT of course it's NOT I I know it's hard to believe BUT it's absolutely going to get easier and easier with time under your belt and as Dale says the only way out is through and it's the aabsolute truth, I remember some horrendous cravings that were back to back  they seemed never ending and I wondered if I'd ever feel comfortable in my own skin again and thankfully the answer is YES BUT you have to keep plowing forward because it is worth all of the craziness in those early days and weeks of quitting smoking to be Free. I also remember thinking that after 40 years of slavery to the damned Cancer Sticks and smoking at least 30 a day that it was bound to take time to relearn life without the smokes because every blessed thing we did was wrapped around them so the longer you're quit the easier it will get BUT first you must go through the roller coaster ups and downs to get to that good place in your quit....N.O.P.E.- Not One Puff Ever and Vigilance N.M.W. - No Matter What Works when applied on a daily basis.....

Some people are successful on their first attempt at quitting smoking and that's fantastic BUT it took me at least a half dozen half assed attempts obviously I just wasn't ready or one of those half assed attempts would've stuck anyway it took finding out that I have mild copd to brighten me up it made me realize that I wasn't invincible and to finally bite the bullet and quit playing Russian Roulette with my life so I found this site and got on line and read everything I could and kept on reading I learned so much about this horrid addiction and how to kick the nicotine poison to the curb permanently it sure wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination BUT thankfully with commitment and perseverance it's DOABLE! If anyone asked me if quitting smoking was easy? I'd be saying HELL NO!!!!! BUT if you asked me if quitting smoking was worth it! I'm saying HELL YES!!!! Anything in this life worth having takes time and effort and OUR LIVES ARE WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN THE DAMNED CANCER STICKS......  I'm so glad that we have this wonderful community of awesome folks that helped me through some horrid rough patches and into this good place in my quit!!!!!  we're all here to help each other through the good and the bad days because we care.......
