George the Hump Day Camel isn't impressed with the never ending frigid temps and the back to back storms BUT that's life if you're in the deep freeze be safe and be prepared with a safety kit with a blanket, a candle and other things to keep you safe from frostbite or worse in case you get stranded in your Vehicle just like our quits being prepared for the unexpected can and will keep our quits in tact so preparation is key in so many areas of our lives.....

Is it SPRING Yet?
Poor George we might find Spring by the first of May, hummmmm here's a positive thought we haven't seen any mosquitoes in months that's about the only good thing I could think of at the moment. Youngatheart.7.4.12
My world is covered in ice - my daughter shoveled the inch of snow we got - but all of the sidewalk, porch and driveway is covered in a sheen of it. The 40-50 mph winds and single digit temps are due to arrive this afternoon. I am NOT going out; I am NOT going out! I have a lunch date tomorrow, and hope the sun and wind today might do at least a little to melt that layer of ice, or I'm not venturing out (as much as I WANT to!).
I know we need winter to rest up for the balance of the seasons, but maybe we could skip it if we ALL promised to take it easy for a couple of months???!!
I really like your thinking Nancy I'm with you who else is with us?
Youngatheart.7.4.12 and Marilyn.H.July.14.14. I am with BOTH of you, I PROMISE. My GOD, it is so cold and windy but we don't have ice. Not sure why since we had freezing rain and snow for a while yesterday. Even my side porch is dry...it is ridiculously windy.

We got another 6 inches of the white crap today Mark plowed and I shoveled the steps off front and back and the garage area we've got lots of ice under the snow from the last storm I'm thinking Ellen that the wind you're getting must have dried everything out which is great here's a picture I took with my tablet this afternoon when I finished shoveling. elvan

OMG, that is CRAZY. I really don't think we could survive that, considering the fact that neither one of us can shovel. The idea of ICE underneath that is wild. It is going to be in the 50's and 60's next week...talk about crazy.
We're going into the extreme cold tomorrow and into the next few days I'm not sure how cold that will be yet depending on the winds too but we're not supposed to get as cold as Chicago and those places but we'll still be cold thankfully we don't smoke anymore which is the one plus how is Mike ? elvan
Marilyn.H.July.14.14. He had an echocardiogram yesterday and the hospital that is 55 miles from us called to say he is TENTATIVELY scheduled for the cath on Monday. He is nervous, his hip is bothering him so much that he can hardly walk, he is a mess...seriously, I keep reassuring him that they will not put him to sleep for the catheterization or the stent but I don't know if he is going to end up needing more. I don't think he can tolerate anesthesia. I think it makes him crazy for weeks after it is administered.
I MUST say that the light in that window makes the house look SO incredibly cozy, it looks warm and inviting.

I'd COME too! Thanks, honey. I just want to get him through this...I have an echocardiogram scheduled Wednesday next week. I am not expecting anything but my cholesterol is through the roof so the cardiologist my primary care doc sent me to wants me to have an echo and then probably go on a statin. I have a sister and a brother who are both on statins...another brother dropped his cholesterol by going gluten free and strictly adhering to it. My youngest sister has no issue with cholesterol. This too shall pass.

Hello Marilyn and Happy Hump Day to You and George!! Many a thanks to being prepared. I've been having thots of smoking today. What the heck?? Thinking. It's time to have one. ??? So glad I don't do that anymore and so glad I'm prepared for those kinds of thots and feelings. with time under my belt and perseverance, I won't act on those thots thankfully. George wouldn't smoke so I won't either! (Smile) Have a lovely evening Miss Marilyn and thank you for always keeping me straight.
