I'm thankful that I had a breathing test 2 and a half months after my husband Mark quit smoking after 42 years because of a horrible cough that scared him into quitting which a cat scan showed emphysema BUT I continued to Smoke thinking I was just fine we'd both smoked outside Summer or Winter for roughly a dozen years, I smoked for 40 years anyway I saw a specialist about something back in the Spring of 2014, I don't even remember what it was about now but he listened to my lungs and didn't like the sound of them and set up a a breathing test which showed mild copd that's when I realized that I wasn't invincible and found this site and the rest is history. Quitting smoking is absolutely difficult BUT definitely DOABLE I didn't want to end up on oxygen 7/ 24 and fight for every breath and I sure as HELL didn't want to have my family see me struggling to breathe especially the grandchildren so I bit the bullet and took back my life with the help of this community all of our lives literally depends on us to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance which guarantees us a Smokefree Life and it's vital to our quality of LIFE breathing is essential to living and being around to enjoy the little things in life that actually turns out to be the big things in life 100 times better as An Exer.

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
