2018

I was having issues with my blog posting this morning which still can't be seen unless you see it in your inbox because on the homepage, content or latest acclaims it's saying NOT FOUND the item does not exist it may have been deleted which isn't the case all my content is having the same issue BUT whether this posts or not I won't be smoking over it or anything else because I don't do that anymore, sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance is guaranteeing us a Smokefree LIFE, YAY for each and every Day WON.....

Quitting smoking is the wisest decision that anyone of us will ever make in our lifetime and it's definetly the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE! We all know that smoking kills and it kills slowly and it doesn't matter who you are or where you live at some point it's most likely going to catch up with you so choosing to quit and stay quit is the best Choice ever and as difficult as those first few weeks are it's absolutely Doable and totally worth it to be Free so hang tough because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic so hang on tight and don't let go until you get to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is as an Ex Smoker .......I love this poem Smiling is infectious and if you think about it it's just like anything else in this World if you keep doing it we really could start an epidemic and how wonderful would that be?

I'm EXtremely thankful that I wised up and found this site because after 40 years of slavery to the nicotine poison this community of awesome people helped get me through the rough patches to where I am today BUT believe me when I say that I went through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of too! Where one minute I might be laughing and the next minute I could be screaming or blatting like a baby or wanting to rip my hair out or rip your face off! I'll tell you that I'd had at least a half dozen failed attempts at quitting smoking until I found this site AND most everyone I know pretty much stayed away those first few weeks because they knew that I wasn't fit to be around and really didn't think I'd succeed anyway the only ones that I wanted to be around were the grandchildren because they were my inspiration and kept me grounded and now I have over 4 glorious years of Smokefree living and it's super fantastic BUT I always want to remember and N.E.F  - Never Ever Forget those early days and weeks of quitting smoking because another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON is awesome so let's never ever let ourselves become lazy and complacent and lose the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE .....

It's also another day to say YES to Smokefree living and YAY for each and every Day WON or if you're on Day ONE then this evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say YAY for Day WON with many more to come, as difficult as quitting can be it's absolutely DOABLE plus our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit plus the older we get the more we need to look after ourselves because if we don't nobody else can do it for us I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I want to be around to enjoy the little things in life that's actually the the big things in life for me it's being able to spend quality time with family especially the grandchildren, I picked my 9 year old grandson Mason up yesterday afternoon we went to the Centreville pool and I kept him for the night he's still sleeping oh yeah it's also Mark and my 22nd wedding Anniversary too hummmm maybe we'll go to Pizza Delight after he gets off work  I'll see what he would like to do BUT I know one thing for sure that whatever we do we'll doing it Smokefree because neither of us smoke anymore and it's super fantastic so hang on tight to your quit because it's the best gift that you'll ever ever give yourself which is the gift of LIFE   I just noticed Mason has an orange mustache from the orange pop he was drinking.

Our lives literally depends on us to to look after ourselves because if we don't nobody else can do it for us and quitting smoking should be at the top of the list of things to do for our health family and friends but especially our lives because we know that smoking kills and it kills slowly and it doesn't matter who you are or where you live at some point it's most likely going to catch up in one way or another so by quitting smoking it's giving yourself the best gift that you'll ever give yourself which is the gift of LIFE ! If anyone were to ask me if quitting smoking was easy? I'd have to be honest and say HELL NO!!!!!! BUT if you were to ask me if quitting smoking was worth it? I'd be saying HELL YES!!!!!!! As difficult as those first few days and weeks are it's absolutely Doable and so very worth it to be able to live life to the fullest....

I consider quitting smoking a gift that we've given ourselves and our families and I think it's the gift that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year because by sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance we're definitely giving ourselves the gift of LIFE which our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit and it's up to us to look after ourselves because if we don't nobody else can do it for us.....

WE CAN  absolutely stick with N.O.P.E  - Not One Puff Ever .....

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW & AN HUMONGOUS, GINORMOUS NOPE TO BE ANYWHERE NEAR A SITUATION LIKE IN THIS PICTURE BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Day ONE = Day WON = Day's WON = week's WON = month's WON = Year's WON = a life of Freedom it all starts with Day ONE and the right Mindset which I got right here on this site by reading everything I could about this horrid addiction which opened my eyes to the realization that I could quit smoking that it's very Doable and by sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance and by keeping them away my face and by realising that the only way is through that I would succeed so I believed it and was willing determined and totally committed to succeed so I kept plowing forward and eventually I began to realize just how much better life is without the cancer sticks so if you're struggling with remaining quit please know that it will get easier and easier with time under your belt but first you have to get through the rough patches to come to that good place in your quit plus we're all here to help you in any way we can, it's going to happen so give yourself the time needed to get there you can do it please believe it.....

I used to be a quitter at quitting smoking at least six Times over,  the last two relapses were to do with having one too many drinks thinking hummm I'd be alright if I had just one or two smokes BUT  of course that's total bull so the last relapse took close to 20 yrs to finally wise up I looked around on line and decided on this site to make a long story short THIS Community Works Wonders If You Work It by Reading Blogging Commenting by asking questions and most of all being willing determined and totally committed to perservere through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes and you'll realize it by reading and seeing that quitting smoking Is absolutely difficult to say the least but very Doable and totally worth it, don't give up when you hit the rough patches instead Plow through knowing that you will Succeed because you Will, believe it deep breaths and know that your quit is firmly in your grasp, quitting smoking is the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE and it's EXtremely frustrating going to the Wakes and funerals knowing that some of these people died much too soon knowing that they were smokers ugh we went to a wake yesterday and we're going to the funeral today of a man that's 62 My husband Mark knew him much better than I did BUT damn it another death by COPD!!!!!!  I quit smoking when I found out that I have mild copd because that was enough to scare the Crap out of me breathing is essential to living! Quitting smoking is a choice and quitting on this side of the grass is absolutely DOABLE! I decided I wanted to be Vertical when I quit and be able to enjoy the little things in life that's actually the the big things in life, health family, friends but especially quality of life.....

I'm so Extremely thankful that I finally wised up and quit smoking and found this site and all of you that helped me through some horrendous craves and helped keep me grounded in my precious quit journey, if you're struggling know that there's a wealth of information here to read to strengthen your resolve to keep moving forward and stacking up your precious Days of Freedom plus we're all here to help you in any way we can BUT you have to let yourself be known by blogging Help so we'll know and can help you through it. Quitting smoking is a choice and it's the best decision that you'll ever make in your lifetime plus I believe it to be a gift of LIFE it's the ONE GIFT that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year BUT you must believe it and stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance because S.I.N.A.O Smoking Is Not An Option anymore so please keep them away from your face and the only way out is through but boy oh boy it's so worth it to be able to go anywhere anytime whenever wherever and however without worrying about where to sneak off to suck on a cancer stick once you get to that point where you realize how much better life is an Ex Smoker then let's be careful not to become complacent let's always remember and N.E.F - Never Ever Forget those early days and weeks of quitting smoking because another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON is awesome because once you get to that good place in your quit you'll know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Life is Grand without a Cigarette in Hand......

Once you stop and think about how many decades upon decades that you smoked then it only stands to reason that it's bound to take time to get through the rough patches and relearn life without the crutch of cigarettes it's definetly not easy by any stretch of the imagination BUT as hair pulling as it can be at times it's absolutely Doable and totally worth it to be Free, I remember my early days and weeks very clearly and there were many times when I wanted to throw my hands up in the air and smoke BUT then I'd take a deep breath and continue on I knew that I would make it through because of everything I read right here on this site including Dale's page concerning the first four months of quitting smoking which I read over and over again plus I'd blog and I'd comment and I made it through, it's absolutely wonderful when you get to that AHA Moment.....

Wow next Wed is the last Hump Day in July and is my 22nd wedding Anniversary to Mark we've been together for 29 yrs he's my second hubby and was and is a great step father, I was only 16 when I got married the 1st time but went from the frying pan into a raging fire for 13 yrs but that's life because life happens and we must deal with whatever comes our way and I know now after 7 years of sobriety and over 4 years of being an Ex Smoker that I can live LIFE on LIFE'S Terms and so can anyone it's definetly not easy in those early weeks by any stretch of the imagination but boy oh boy it's so worth it so if you're reading this and are struggling stay close keep moving forward and stacking up your precious Days of Freedom so each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON we're all here to help you in any way we can BUT you must let us know by blogging Help so we'll know and can help you through it BUT you may have to wait for a few minutes so do whatever you have to while you're waiting EXcept Smoke sit on your hands ,bite into a lemon whatever BUT hang on tight and don't let go of the best gift that you'll ever give yourself which is the gift of LIFE .....

Life happened when we were smokers that's for sure and chainsmoking was par for the course for every happy, sad, mad & just about every emotion and situation imaginable BUT for me stress was the worst for lighting one cancer stick up after another, lighting one up on the butt of the one I was still smoking before butting it out does this sound familiar? Thankfully as Dale says I don't do that anymore , no one has to do that anymore! Quitting smoking is absolutely hair pulling at times BUT absolutely DOABLE it definetly takes time to get to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes that's when you always want to remember and N.E.F  - Never Ever Forget those early days and weeks of quitting smoking because another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON is super fantastic, stuff happens whether we smoke or not and choosing Not to Smoke is the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE! Stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance because there's absolutely no way you can FAIL and life really does get better and better with time under your belt ......

It's not always easy to remain faithful to our quits and perservere through the rough patches BUT it's absolutely Doable and relapsing only screws up a perfectly beautiful quit so if you're reading this and you're struggling please keep moving forward and stacking up your precious Days, it's definetly going to get easier and easier with time under your belt BUT first you have to go through all of the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes believe me when I say it's totally worth it to be Free relapsing isn't the answer because eventually you'll most likely be starting at Day ONE again so stick with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and Vigilance so each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON because Freedom is yours and we're all here to help you in any way we can, by sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance then there's no way you can FAIL and you will get to that good place in your quit and you'll be so glad that you stuck with your quit because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic so hang on tight and don't let go of the best gift that you'll ever give yourself which is the gift of LIFE........

My 9 year old grandson Mason spent the night last night he's still sleeping and it's almost 10 o'clock.

Thank you Missy Mandolinrain XO and everyone for making my 4 yr milestone so much brighter it's amazing how powerful an addiction smoking really is BUT it's also amazing that once we prepare our minds that we're going to quit with no if ands or buts then we succeed because once we've got that right Mindset we can do just about anything We put our minds to with perseverance along with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and Vigilance there's just No way we can Fail.

Quitting smoking is a choice and remaining quit is also a choice and it's absolutely the right choice for our health family and friends but especially our lives which literally depends on us to quit and stay quit, I quit smoking because a Dr didn't like the sound of my lungs and set me up with a breathing test which showed mild copd that's when I realized I wasn't invincible and found this site and set up a quit date but I wasn't ready so I reset it and then I totally forgot about it until my 18th day when I was struggling to the point where I was ready to drive to the store and buy a carton of cigarettes instead of just a pk BUT then I remembered this so I got on line and commented on something up until that point I'd been lurking in the shadows and hadn't let myself be known BUT thankfully someone moody_9-18-13 I believe suggested I write a blog and say a little about myself and so I did and so many of you helped me through that horrendous crave and so many other rough patches that came along there's definetly been changes to this site BUT the one thing that hasn't changed is the caring hearts of the people that make up this awesome community because we're all here for one reason and that's to help each and every person to the best of our ability to quit and stay quit there's a wealth of information here through reading, blogging and commenting ,we care and we want everyone to live a life of Freedom because we know as difficult as quitting can be it's absolutely Doable and totally worth it to be Free, I'm EXtremely proud to be able to say that I'm celebrating 1,461 glorious DOF or four ginormous years of Smokefree living and for me life is alot easier since I through the yuckies (cigarettes) away, I don't have to be outside in all kinds of weather nearly horking up a lung or possibly even both by coughing, choking and trying to breathe while sucking on a cancer stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance I'm totally reaping the benefits of being an Ex Smoker, I'm one of those Happy Quitters and I have been for quite some time, hang on tight if you're struggling because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic so continue stacking up those precious Days of Freedom so each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON believe me when I say it's totally worth it....

I really like this little abbreviation D.E.B.S  - Decide Educate Believe Succeed - as difficult as quitting smoking can be it's absolutely Doable and so very worth it we all have our reasons for quitting mine was and still is wanting a better quality of living to enjoy the little things in life that's actually the the big things in life, I chose to quit and I choose to stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance - I always want to remember and N.E.F - Never Ever forget - Day ONE  isn't happening ever again because I won't allow myself to become complacent and lose the best gift that I've ever given myself, once we've made the choice to quit then we must honor our decision and stick with our quits no matter what is happening and plow forward through the rough patches and relearn life as an Ex Smoker it's Doable and absolutely wonderful once we get to that good place in our quit where we realize how much better life is without the cancer sticks sticks.   Freedom starts with Day ONE which turns into DAY WON to Week's WON   Month's WON  to Year's WON!   Say YAY for Smokefree living and YAY for each and every Day WON!

It's definetly takes time to get through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that good place in your quit  BUT if you stop and think about how many decades that you smoked then it only stands to reason that it's bound to take time to feel comfortable in your own skin again BUT boy oh boy it's so worth it so hang on tight and don't let go if you're struggling come on line and blog HELP they'll be people coming to help talk you through BUT you must wait for a few minutes if you have to sit on your hands do it do whatever you have to EXcept Smoke because you don't do that anymore BUT you must believe it and stick with your quit .....

My daughter Mandy, Mason and I enjoyed our mini vacation and even went for a hike through some trails looking for a place called Maggie's Falls we found out later after talking to someone that we took a wrong turn but we still enjoyed ourselves even though Mandy smokes I can say Yay because I don't do that anymore  keep moving forward and stacking up those precious DOF - Days Of Freedom, sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance guarantees us a Smokefree Life .....

Here's a few pics.  from our mini vacation.....

I'm one of those Happy Quitters I have been for well over three years now and WOW I'll be celebrating four glorious years  on Saturday all I can say is that I finally figured out that I'm not invincible and that a scare of being told that I have mild copd was enough to scare the Crap out of me so I looked around on line and found this site which helped me tremendously to make a long story short I'm still here and I always want to remember and I want all of us to - N.E.F - Never Ever Forget those early days and weeks of quitting smoking because all of our lives depends on us to quit and stay quit aren't our lives worth way way more than the damned Cancer Sticks? I'm having a hard time with this huge floater in my left eye so I'm getting off here soon, my daughter Mandy, Mason and I are heading out on our mini vacation later today we'll be back tomorrow sometime I'm not taking my tablet so I won't be around in the morning so hopefully Nancy  Youngatheart.7.4.12 will make sure our buddy George the HUMP DAY camel will make an appearance  because it just wouldn't be Wednesday without him, he's definetly my buddy, my pal and my friend YAY for George, YAY and YAY again for Smokefree living and yay for each and every Day WON! Let's nurture and protect the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE..... Huge hug to all XO......

Life is full of ups and downs and is going to keep happening good or bad whether we smoke or not and choosing NOT to during stress, anxiety, sadness, happiness or whatever the situation or emotions may be sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance is a MUST for our health and well being so do whatever you have to and nurture and protect the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE ,now on that note I'm going to stop typing on this tablet because I've got a large floater pretty much covering over my left eye I'm having a hard time to see thought the one in my right one was bad enough that's been bugging me off and on for over a year now but this one that showed up last evening is much more annoying I'll get a hold of my optometrist when the office opens just to get it checked BUT I won't be smoking over this or anything else because smoking drys out our eyes and screws up our teeth and gums if we stop and think about it there's nothing but negatives to smoking BUT it's nothing but positives to quitting Smoking BUT you must allow yourself the time to get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the damned Cancer Sticks and you'll be so happy that you did!

To be successful in anything BUT especially something as life alternating a quitting smoking it takes everything you have to be succeed and it starts with the decision that no matter what is happening in life that you'll never ever pick up another cigarette that you'll be willing determined and totally committed to push through those early days and weeks and keep moving forward through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is an Ex Smoker! it really is DOABLE .... we're back into the high humidity BUT hummm I'm thinking I prefer it to the pics below......

Once you've decided to bite the bullet to take back your life  you kick the nicotine poison to the curb and bury it so deep to never to be retrieved you do it by willing determined and totally committed you perservere through the rough patches and relearn life without the crutch of cigarettes once you've got the right Mindset you can do just about anything you put your mind to there's so much information here in this awesome community you just need to read it over and over again if need be, I know I did many times especially Dale's page concerning the first four months of quitting which helped me tremendously and these mantras helps - N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and Vigilance because S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option - once we've been quit for awhile - N.E.F  - Never Ever Forget - those early days & weeks of quitting smoking because another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON is awesome plus as Dale says keep them away from your face and the only way out is through, quitting smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but very Doable and it's a choice that everyone has to make at some point and I wanted to make it while I was still vertical and still able to get around and enjoy the little things in life that's actually the the big things in life - H.A.L.T  - Hungry Angry Lonely Tired - taking EXtra good care of yourself will also help you plus we're all here to help you in any way we can.....

once you commit to your quit and have the right Mindset then you can and will be successful but like all of us here you'll have to go through all of the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes and I really do consider quitting a gift that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year BUT you must believe it and continue stacking up those precious days of Freedom because it really does get easier and easier with time under your belt and it's definetly worth it to be Free so hang on tight and don't let go of the best gift you'll ever give yourself which is the gift of LIFE..... Oh yeah it was another scorcher overnight at 75°F or 24°C but YAY actually Double YAY Aaah Heck make it a Triple YAY because a cold front is coming through later this morning which is going to cool it down and break this horrid humidity and that's totally awesome plus since I'm an Ex Smoker I didn't have to stand outside trying to inhale and breathe at the same time on ONE of those killer cancer sticks YAY for Smokefree living and YAY  for each and every Day WON......

It's another sticky humid day pretty much everywhere we hit 91°F or 34°C here yesterday actual temps with the humidity the feel like temps in Celcius was 40 and today will be even higher but I know there's many of you here that's even hotter with worse humidity stay as cool as you can! I'm so thankful that I wised up and threw the yuckies away ( cigarettes ) So I'm not standing outside in all kinds of weather sucking on a cancer stick especially first thing in the morning coughing choking and nearly horking up a lung or possibly even both just because I need that horrid nicotine fix BUT thankfully with N.O.P.E and vigilance and by keeping them away from my face and knowing that the only way out is through and by saying over and over again in those early weeks that I don't do that anymore totally works and I learned these mantras right here by reading everything I could that's how I knew that I was going to succeed because it's Doable, definetly not easy by any stretch of the imagination but boy oh boy it's absolutely Doable and so very worth it to be Free, I'm trying to keep my nearly 15 Year old Samantha Digger Jane Hartley as cool as I can!

I consider quitting a gift that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year and all we have to do is stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance because S.I.N.A.O Smoking Is Not An Option -  Anymore our lives literally depends on us to look after ourselves because if we don't nobody else can do it for us and our lives are worth so much more than the damned Cancer Sticks.....
