Quitting smoking is a choice and sticking with our quits no matter what is happening in life is also a choice, is quitting smoking easy? HELL NO!!!! BUT is quitting smoking worth it? HELL YES!!!! Stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance and if you're not secure in your quit please don't drink and even if you feel secure please don't overdrink! Another Day ONE would totally suck big time!

( I do not think that I should drink , for if I drink, I do not think.)

We miss you Nancy ( Youngatheart.7.4.12 )

Quitting smoking Is the wisest decision that anyone of us will ever make in our lifetime and it's definetly the best gift that we'll ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE!  Our lives are in our hands and our quits are firmly in our grasp and as long as you keep moving forward and stacking up your precious Days of Freedom and you stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance then there's no way you can FAIL! I never thought I'd ever quit but here I am edging closer towards four awesome years of Smokefree living mind you I have roughly another six weeks to get there but I will get there by not letting myself become complacent I always want to remember and N.E.F. - Never Ever Forget - those early days and weeks of quitting smoking because another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON is spectacular!

It's a frosty morning here in the Maritimes but it's going to warm up nicely but no matter the weather or anything else that's happening we all have control over whether we smoke or not and choosing Not to Smoke is the way to go plus our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit if we don't do it, nobody else can do it for us and by sticking with our new found Freedom we are stacking up the chance of being around to enjoy our family and friends with a much better quality of living and I consider quitting a gift that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year so we have to bite the bullet and stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance, believe me when I say that I remember how bad the cravings can be and I remember screaming one minute and maybe laughing the next and wanting to rip my hair out or someone's face off it didn't matter to me who's face  but I made it through after 40 yrs of slavery to the nicotine poison and so can anyone that's struggling BUT you must believe it and get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes BUT in order to get there you have to keep moving forward and stacking up your precious DOF because it's so very Doable, absolutely difficult BUT Doable and totally worth it to be Free .....

I'm running late this morning and I can't think of anything to say other than if you're struggling with your quit please know that you can get through the rough patches and you can relearn life without the crutch of cigarettes, we're all here to help you through in any way we can BUT you must let us know by blogging Help so we'll be able to talk you through!

Life is going to happen whether we smoke or not and choosing Not to Smoke no matter what is vital to every area of our lives so once we've quit and we stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance then there's no way we can Fail, deep breaths, chin up and know that you can and are dealing with Life on life's terms without the crutch of cigarettes  it's definetly not easy in the first few weeks of quitting smoking but it's definetly Doable and the longer you're quit the easier it will get BUT you must continue moving forward and stacking up your precious Days of Freedom....

Once you make up your mind to quit smoking and get educated on this horrid addiction by reading everything you can right here on this site then it's time to pick a quit date so when Day ONE arrives and the evening rolls around you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for Day WON with many more to come and we're all here to help in any way we can BUT you must believe in yourself and be willing determined and totally committed to succeed and you can and will be successful, if anyone asked me if quitting smoking was easy after 40 yrs of smoking? I'd be saying HELL NO!!!!! BUT if they me if quitting smoking was worth it? I'd be saying HELL YES!!!!! Anything in this life worth having takes time and effort and quitting smoking should be at the top of the list of things to do for your health family and wallet but most importantly your LIFE each one of our lives literally depends on us to take care of ourselves because if we don't nobody else can do it for us and I consider quitting a gift that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year after year BUT you must bite the bullet and take back your life in order to EXperience the Freedom of an EXer it's Doable and so very worth it to be Free so hang tough because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic once you get to that good place in your quit which will take some time BUT boy oh boy it's so worth it when you get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the cancer sticks....

It's Mother's day weekend and for many of us thats lost our Mom it's going to be bitter sweet and I know there's a couple of ladies here that it's very fresh and I'm sending you both a huge hug and hugs for everyone including me ,it was 6 years in January that I lost my Mom ,here's a pic of her January 12th with Mason, my daughter took this pic my mom  passed on the 26th January she was on oxygen 7/24 for the last year or so of her life BUT I continued to Smoke never thinking I'd have a problem but when I found out that I have mild copd that's when I finally wised out because I used to push Mom around in the wheelchair dragging the oxygen tank behind me quitting smoking and remaining quit is absolutely hair pulling at times BUT definetly Doable by choosing to never ever pick up another cigarette no matter what is happening in life then you'll be living LIFE on LIFE'S Terms , I am a recovering alcoholic as well when this pic was taken I had less than a Year of sobriety under my belt I was with her when she passed and once the funeral was over boy oh boy did I want a drink BUT I didn't because my Dad needed ME and I needed to be there for him and we can stay Smokefree as well BUT we must choose it and take a deep breath and continue moving forward no matter what. ....

Quitting is a definitely a  roller coaster ride BUT it's one that has to be taken to become an Ex Smoker and it's absolutely worth all of the withdrawals and moodswings and lack of sleep to get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the smokes BUT you must believe it and stick with your quit in order to EXperience the Freedom of an EXer it's Doable and totally worth it so hang on tight and don't let go because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and by quitting smoking you'll be living LIFE on LIFE'S Terms.....

Hubby and I went to a wake last night and we're going to her funeral today as well, she was a 80 yrs old and a figure head to our rural church and her husband is one of the deacons his health isn't good either, my point is we need to take EXtra good care of ourselves because if we don't nobody else can do it for us and now that I actually quit smoking almost 4 years ago I want everyone to Experience life without the smokes, I want my daughter, her man, my older sister in law to quit, I want anyone reading this that hasn't quit to stop and if you're struggling keep going because you will get through the rough patches BUT if you allow yourself to relapse you'll have to go back to Day ONE again ugh BUT if you keep moving forward and stacking up your precious DOF then you'll reach that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is without the cancer sticks and you'll be so proud of each and every Day WON because you'll know that Life really does get easier and easier with time under your belt and that Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic Wishing everyone a Smokefree Hump Day●●●●●

I'm going to continue to say that quitting smoking Is absolutely hair pulling at times BUT definetly Doable I know for me that in the early days and wks that I might be blatting like a baby one minute and screaming or laughing the next or feel like ripping someone's face off BUT I made it through without having to hide any bodies  everyone here cares AND wants each person to succeed and live a life of Freedom BUT the bottom line is it's an individual's choice that everyone has to make I know that I repeat myself BUT each ONE of our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit YES at times in the early stages of quitting some of the Cravings do seem Almost Overpowering Notice I said Almost, Education is key AND this site is full of everything you need to succeed, please read, read and read some more AND please reach out to ask for help because we're all here to help you through any rough patches that you may come upon BUT you have to let us know by blogging Help, there's definetly Life after Cigarettes BUT you must believe it and stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance because S.I.N.A.O Smoking Is Not An Option anymore ....

Life will happen whether we smoke or not and choosing Not to Smoke is what we must do in order remain quit, it's definetly not easy by any stretch of the imagination especially during stress and anxiety BUT it's absolutely DOABLE with N.O.P.E and vigilance we can do just about anything We put our minds to and quitting smoking should be at the top of the list of things to do for our health and family but especially our lives which literally depends on us I consider it a gift that keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year and all we have to do is bite the bullet which is the wisest decision that anyone of us will ever make in our lifetime, I'm heading towards my 4 year milestone in July I know that I won't allow myself to become complacent instead I'll always remember and N.E.F - Never Ever Forget - those early days and weeks because not another  Day ONE for Me BUT I'll smile and say yay for each and every Day WON because I know that there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's super fantastic so keep moving forward and stacking those precious Days of Freedom because once you get to that good place in your quit you'll know that Life is Grand without a Cigarette Here's a couple of pics from the Weekend with Mason and Smoking wasn't even a blimp on my Radar because I don't do that anymore.  Mason is steering Gramps Super M tractor.

Life happens whether we smoke or not and choosing Not to Smoke during stress and anxiety or happiness or that reward smoke for a job well done or that cigarette for that job that got flopped SO you think WOW just one wont hurt BUT that one most certainly will screw up a perfectly beautiful quit so deep breaths and continue stacking up those precious Days of Freedom so each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON, I live in a rural area in NB and go to a church with a congregation of 25 to 30 people we lost a lady yesterday from  the church that's always been a fixture she was 80 yrs old, her husband is a deacon she will be missed and my younger sister in law's Dad he's 94  has been in the hospital for almost a month the Dr's say he won't be coming out and he's another fixture to our church rural church's are slowly dying out kind of like Smokers are EXcept losing these people are painful, death is painful for the family and friends left behind to mourn but when it comes to quitting smoking now that's a Celebration to LIFE our lives deserve the very best so kicking the nicotine poison to the curb permanently is the greatest gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE which keeps on giving day after day week after week month after month and Lord willing year after year, life is way too short to continue slowly killing ourselves which just doesn't make sense to me anymore because breathing is essential to living a life of Freedom .....

I still enjoy each and every Day WON and I'll always remember and N.E.F - Never Ever Forget those early days and weeks of quitting smoking because I never plan on ever going through Another Day ONE Ever so for me AND all of us let's be sure Not to become Lazy and Complacent with our precious quits because it only takes a split second to screw up a perfectly beautiful quit so let's treasure the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE by always sticking with N.O.P.E and Vigilance because we know that S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option anymore! If You're struggling please know that we're here for you and as long as you keep moving forward and stacking up your precious Days of Freedom so each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON then you'll be A OK and it's going to get easier and easier with time under your belt but first you have to get through the rough patches and to relearn life without the crutch of cigarettes and you'll get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the cancer sticks, you can do this believe it deep breaths and know that you can and will be successful....

Our lives are worth so much more than the damned Cancer Sticks as difficult as quitting can be it's absolutely Doable, believing in yourself and being willing determined and totally committed to succeed is the right Mindset and the keys to success and boy oh boy it's so worth it once you get through the roller coaster ups and downs and get to that point where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes, hang on tight and don't let go until you get to that good place in your quit then you will be smiling because you'll know that life really does get easier and easier with time under your belt which makes life so much better,  I say YAY for Smokefree living and yay for each and every Day WON!!!

It's definetly going to take time to live life on life's terms BUT it's absolutely Doable and so very worth it to be able to go anywhere anytime whenever wherever and however without worrying about where to sneak off to suck on a cancer stick plus your health family and friends but most importantly your LIFE will thank you for persevering through the rough patches to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life as an Ex Smoker!

It's going to be a gorgeous mild sunshiny day in the mid 70s YAY, it was a cool start at 39 but it's already warmed up to 45°F I'll take it    Spring has finally Sprung I'll be so glad when the rivers start to recede there's so much flooding all around but I live on higher ground so there's no problems for me but roughly 10 miles away there's road closures and mandatory evacuations there's still lot's of snowmelt going on further north plus we've had lot's of rain that's added to the rivers rising anyway there's nothing that anyone can do about that BUT we all have control over whether we smoke or not and choosing to quit and stay quit is what we all need to choose because our lives literally depends on us, our quits are firmly in our grasp it's our Choice to stick with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and Vigilance because if we don't nobody else can do it for us and to continue slowly killing ourselves just doesn't make sense to me anymore because breathing is essential to living AND Smoking Is a killer that doesn't care who you are or where you live or how old you are it kills so for me after 40 yrs of slavery to the nicotine poison I had enough of the hacking, coughing, choking and nearly horking up a lung, yay for this community of EXers, yay for Smokefree living and yay for each and every Day WON because it's absolutely Doable and totally worth it to be Free plus by quitting smoking I've slowed down the progression of my COPD so I can enjoy my family and friends but especially giving myself the gift of LIFE a little bit longer......

I just came from celebrating all of the awesome milestones being celebrated today on the Freedom Train   if you're struggling with your quit please go and check it out and see all of the accomplishments that was made by sticking with N.O.P.E and vigilance, we've got Nix at 2 yrs and counting LisaAnnIndy74Jennifer-Quit-05-01-14 on 4 yrs & Mrs.Rum on 5 years & c2q with 7 glorious years, quitting smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but very Doable and totally worth it to be Free so hang on tight and don't let go because you can get through to that good place in your quit where you realize how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes but you must believe it and stick your quit no matter what.....
