Being smokefree is a choice

This site is full of folks that care about helping people quit smoking and live a life of Freedom, we're all here for each other through the rough patches as well as the good times, I smoked for 40 yrs and continued to Smoke for 2 and a half months after my husband quit because he found out he had mild emphysema but I thought I was fine so I kept smoking outside of course we hadn't smoked in the house for over a decade anyway but then I was told I had mild copd which literally scared the living crap out of me because wow I finally figured out that I wasn't invincible and bit the bullet and read everything I could about quitting smoking and remaining quit so I decided I wasn't go to play Russian Roulette with my life anymore, I half heartedly quit smoking at least a half dozen times in the past but obviously I wasn't ready or at least one of those quits would have stuck. Quitting smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but it's also very Doable, it's a choice that everyone has to make at some point and hopefully the choice Will get made before a Dr says sorry but you waited too long to quit smoking so go home and get your affairs in order! Quitting smoking now while we can enjoy family and friends without the crutch of cigarettes is awesome but we all have to go through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings to get to that point where we realize  just how much better life is without the cancer sticks , is it easy? HELL NO! But is it worth it? HELL YES! Stick with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and vigilance because S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option and - N.E.F. - Never Ever Forget - those early days and weeks of quitting because going back to another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON totally Rocks!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
