Good morning friends and Fellow Exers, I want to push N.O.P.E and EXtra Vigilance especially since it's New Year's Eve wk end and we're heading into 2018 and if you've already quit smoking then relapsing isn't an option because going into 2018 with your quit in tact is imperative so enjoy your festivities while hanging onto your quit whether you're on day 1, day 100, day 1,000 or 5,000 or whatever, we need to be Vigilant and be aware of unforseen situations that could cause us to think aaah just ONE won't hurt which we know when we're on guard so we sluff it off so I am definetly pushing EXtra Vigilance this wk end for all of us Exers and if you're contemplating quitting this New Years then yay for you because it's the best decision that you'll ever make in your lifetime so please read everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit because there's a wealth of information here to strengthen your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom quitting is difficult to say the least but very Doable and so very worth it to be Free and we're all here to help in any way we can because we want everyone to live a life of Freedom and to know that there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's yours for the taking and you just have to reach out and grab it!

Stick with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever - because  - S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option - once we've been quit awhile let's not become complacent - N.E.F - Never Ever Forget - those early days and weeks of quitting because going back to Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON totally Rocks and let's be sure to take EXtra good care of ourselves - H.A.L.T. - Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired - anyone of these could screw up a perfectly beautiful quit and if you haven't quit then it's time, it's definetly going to be difficult but it's very Doable and so very worth it to be Free so make the choice to take back your life because you can be Smokefree but it's your choice, we're all here to help to in any way we can, be sure to read everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit because there's a wealth of information here to strengthen your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom .

With 2018 right around the corner there's probably many people that may be On the fence about quitting smoking or maybe in the early days and weeks and possibly struggling with cravings and withdrawals but know that you can get through the rough patches, stay close and read everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit because there's a wealth of information here to strengthen your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom, let us know that you're here if you're having a rough time, write Help in a blog and wait a short time and they'll be people coming to help you through it, hang on tight and don't let go because you can get through the rough patches with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and vigilance because S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option. Quitting smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but very Doable, if you stop and think about how many decades you smoked then it only stands to reason that its bound to take time to get through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings and that it's going to take time to relearn life without the crutch of cigarettes but it's very Doable and very worth it to be Free so hang tough because there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's yours for the taking believe in yourself and be willing, determined and committed to succeed and you can and will be successful one precious Smokefree Day at a time or hour, minute or even one second at a time as long as you keep moving forward then you'll be successful in your precious quit and our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit but it's a Choice that everyone has to make for themselves whether to smoke or bite the bullet and take back their lives from the clutches of the nicotine poison, begin with Day ONE and at the end of the day you can say yay for Day WON!

I really hope everyone had a great Christmas and a great feed, we did here even with the snow storm that dumped 11 inches by early evening but we never lost power here but 78,000 did mostly in N.S. and 58,000 still don't have power this morning but I pray they Will soon. Brrrrr it's cold outside and extremely windy and it's really going to get even colder but I'm blessed with a roof over my head lots of wood for the furnace to stay warm, food in the cupboards and in the fridge and freezer and good drinking water and family plus I quit smoking almost three and a half yrs ago so I don't need to be standing outside freezing my butt off especially my hands because wearing gloves doesn't work very well while trying to suck on a cancer stick and coughing and choking and nearly horking up a lung while trying to inhale in the frigid cold wowser I'm so thankful that I wised up and threw the yuckies (cigarettes) away, stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance because it works when applied on a daily basis, I pray no one has relapsed but by chance someone has please get back to quitting quickly so your Day ONE can be WON! Here's what it looked like out my door this morning, tonight our temps are dropping to roughly - 6 or so on the °F scale or  -22 or so on the °Celcius scale but either way it's frigid and yay actually double yay aaah make that a triple yay for Smokefree living.  because after smoking for 40 yrs I'm free and I know that there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's ours for the taking and we just have to reach out and grab it......

We've  been up since 6 o'clock and down to my 90 year old mother in laws to watch her open her Christmas gifts and we talked to a very excited Mason plus we've got a good start on getting Christmas dinner ready so we can get Mark's Mom here to eat before the storm hits and get her back to her place safely, life is good and I still consider my quit to be the best gift that I have given myself and it's a gift that keeps on giving day after day because I have more breath now that I'm an EXer and I don't cough and nearly hork up a lung since quitting smoking because I don't do that anymore . I wish each and everyone of you my friends and Fellow Exers a very Merry Christmas please be EXtra Vigilant while enjoying your Christmas Day.  xo, wishing each of you a joyous Christmas from our family to yours.

It's almost 11 o'clock here in the Maritimes but before I head off to La la land to hopefully get a half decent nights sleep I just wanted to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas, I'll be around at some point tomorrow as long as I don't lose power because we've got a weather bomb coming through tomorrow but we'll be fine here with a cook stove and solar panels and such and we may not get as bad as they're predicting anyway but Christmas is going to be wonderful just the same, let's kick back and enjoy the Reason for the Season Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

We had a wonderful time here last night with Greco pizza and garlic fingers and our Christmas gift exchange, we all got fantastic gifts, all three grandchildren were really happy which made all of us grownups up super happy. The grandchildren got dropped off a couple of hrs early while my daughter and her man got a couple of things done and picked up the pizza, my son picked up his fiance from work because the roads were terrible with roughly 6 inches of snow down when they got here at 6 o'clock when everyone left at 8:30 it was freezing rain but everyone made it home safely, tomorrow we're in for 10 inches and possibly up to 14 inches but not the weather or anything else Will mess with my beautiful, precious quit because N.O.P.E and vigilance is Key to a lifetime of Freedom, I got to get moving for our Christmas Eve service for Church, huge loving hug coming to each of you my friends and Fellow Exers.

We're in a weather alert for a mixed bag of weather throughout the day and night ugh! My son's fiance is working at Wal-Mart in the photo lab today she's traveling a half hour away she's worked there for over twelve yrs now she's been with my son for ten so everyone is coming here around 6 o'clock for pizza and exchanging gifts, I think Mason is the most excited although I'm sure Adam and Emma are too, We're supposed to get about 6 inches of snow and a long duration of freezing rain which could build up to 1/4 inch of ice with possible power outrages before it turns into rain then to ice pellets before going back to snow. I pray for them traveling today and tonight and I pray for everyone everywhere thats traveling over the holidays, we all have our stressors that may cause us to think oh just one won't hurt well don't believe it because just one could and most certainly Will screw up a perfectly beautiful quit so hang onto the best gift that you'll get this Christmas Season which is your quit and it'll keep on giving you more  breath day after day as long as you keep moving forward and stacking up your precious DOF, I wish each and everyone of you a very Merry the day before the day before Christmas so enjoy this day and don't stress because everything Will be A OK we'll get done what gets done and Christmas will come just the same, this is my son and his fiance from two yrs ago when they got engaged and their four dogs Bella,Maggie, Bruce and Frank and here's a pic is my my daughter's family and a Christmas pic of last year with Adam and hubby too.

This site is full of folks that care about helping people quit smoking and live a life of Freedom, we're all here for each other through the rough patches as well as the good times, I smoked for 40 yrs and continued to Smoke for 2 and a half months after my husband quit because he found out he had mild emphysema but I thought I was fine so I kept smoking outside of course we hadn't smoked in the house for over a decade anyway but then I was told I had mild copd which literally scared the living crap out of me because wow I finally figured out that I wasn't invincible and bit the bullet and read everything I could about quitting smoking and remaining quit so I decided I wasn't go to play Russian Roulette with my life anymore, I half heartedly quit smoking at least a half dozen times in the past but obviously I wasn't ready or at least one of those quits would have stuck. Quitting smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but it's also very Doable, it's a choice that everyone has to make at some point and hopefully the choice Will get made before a Dr says sorry but you waited too long to quit smoking so go home and get your affairs in order! Quitting smoking now while we can enjoy family and friends without the crutch of cigarettes is awesome but we all have to go through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings to get to that point where we realize  just how much better life is without the cancer sticks , is it easy? HELL NO! But is it worth it? HELL YES! Stick with N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever and vigilance because S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option and - N.E.F. - Never Ever Forget - those early days and weeks of quitting because going back to another Day ONE would totally suck big time but another Day WON totally Rocks!

Stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance and hang on tight because we don't want anything to get in the way of the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves this Christmas Season because our precious Days WON needs to continue stacking up, none of us wants another Day ONE so EXtra Vigilance is a good idea while we're finalizing what needs to be done before Christmas morning. I smiled at this top pic so I hope you will too.

Quitting smoking is the best gift that anyone of us wiill ever give ourselves and I believe that it's one of those rare gifts that keeps on giving day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year and that gift is living a life of Freedom without being a slave to the nicotine poison and being able to breathe is essential to living and once we apply N.O.P.E. - Not One Puff Ever - along with Vigilance on a daily basis then there's no way we can fail,  I remember the early days and weeks very well and how difficult it was but it was also very Doable so believe you can and you will be successful, be willing, determined and committed to succeed by moving forward and each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON! Believe in yourself and hang on tight and don't let go because you can get through the rough patches to that good place in your quit but you must believe it!

Life happens whether we smoke or not and choosing Not to Smoke during stress and anxiety in the early days and weeks is very Doable with the right Mindset so read everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit right here on this site because it will help strengthen your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit and it's the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves!

Christmas is just around the corner now and we'll all have a great day and enjoy the Reason for the Season whether we get everything done that we're planning or not, I've got to the point in my life that I don't stress over the little things anymore because that's not what matters and I want to enjoy the holidays and not be so exhausted from trying to get things done that I don't even feel like eating Christmas dinner so I'll get done what I can and it'll be a wonderful Christmas. Let's all be a little more on guard for any unforseen stressors and stick with N.O.P.E and vigilance because we don't want to become complacent and lose the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE !

Choosing to  take back our lives from the clutches of the nicotine poison is the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves so let's keep stacking up our precious Days WON with N.O.P.E & Vigilance and if by chance someone is reading this and is thinking about quitting then it's time to bite the bullet and read everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit because there's a wealth of information here to strengthen your resolve to kick the cancer sticks to the curb and start living a life of Freedom. Quitting smoking is a choice which everyone has to make at some point and hopefully the choice Will get made before a Dr says sorry but you waited too long go home and get your affairs in order that thought crossed my mind when I was told I have mild copd that's when I realized I wasn't invincible and decided to stop playing Russian Roulette with my life before I ended up with severe copd that's when I made the choice to take back my life and with the help of everyone here I'm headed for three and a half yrs of Freedom. Is quitting smoking easy? HELL NO! But is quitting smoking worth it? HELL YES! anything in this life worth having takes time and effort and quitting smoking should be at the top of the list of things to do for your health, family but most importantly your LIFE......

As long as we quit smoking and stick with N.O.P.E & Vigilance then we'll be living a life of Freedom because there's no way can fail as long as a person applies them each morning and I do remember how at times in the early days and weeks how difficult it was but I was determined that I was going to succeed so with the help of everyone on this site talking me through the rough patches I made it through to a wonderful place in my quit and smoking isn't even a blimp on my Radar because S.I.N.A.O  -  smoking Is  Not An Option. I really like stacking up our precious Days WON with N.O.P.E & Vigilance , Mason says good morning.

I'm going to push quitting smoking and hanging on tight  to it again this morning because with the holidays on top of us and all the hustle and bustle of things to do and places to go the true meaning of the Season can be lost plus if we're not careful we could let our guard down and and we don't want to do that so let's kick back and enjoy the Reason for the Season and be EXtra Vigilant while going about all the festivities, I have my 8 yr old grandson Mason for the night which Will be super fantastic especially this close to Christmas and since I'm an EXer I won't be sneaking outside in these frigid temps of +1°F brrrrrrrrrrr because I don't do smoke anymore life really does get better and better with time under our belts, quitting smoking is the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves so let's keep stacking up our precious Days WON with N.O.P.E & Vigilance because Life is Grand without a Cigarette in Hand and if you're struggling hang on tight and don't let go because you can get through the rough patches and we're all here to help you through but you need to let us know by blogging Help and we'll be here to talk to you and try to get through it! Chin up and keep stacking your precious DOF..... keep choosing Freedom! Here's a pic of the grandchildren last Christmas.

It's cold outside but It's nice and toasty inside and I have so much to be thankful for starting with a roof over my head plus lots of wood for the furnace to stay warm, food in the cupboards and in the fridge and freezer I am blessed with family and tomorrow afternoon hubby and I will have our 8 year old grandson Mason for the night which Will be super fantastic especially this close to Christmas because he's still at that age of awe and wonder and the greatest thing of all is that I don't smoke anymore and I really can enjoy the festivities with my family and friends without the crutch of smoking,  there's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's ours for the taking and it's ours to nurture and protect because our lives literally depends on us to quit and stay quit, yay for Smokefree living  .

It's a dark dank dismal dreary day this morning with all schools cancelled due to the mixed bag of weather, I woke up around three to the freezing rain beating on my bedroom window or maybe it was ice pellets but either way it looks like quite a mess outside, Mark must have made it to work because I haven't heard anything different. The Christmas concert at the school will be On Friday now since it's a storm day. I measured 7 inches of the white stuff last night when  I shoveled the steps off but now it's melted down with the rain but ugh later when it freezes so I'll go out and get some exercise shoveling the front and back steps off before the freeze up later but No Smoking for Me because I don't do that anymore because I live by N.O.P.E. and Vigilance and besides that I'm in a fabulous place in my quit and smoking isn't even a blimp on my Radar so if you're struggling hang on tight and don't let go because you can get through the rough patches which takes time but if you stop and think about how many decades you smoked then it only stands to reason that you have to relearn life without the crutch of cigarettes because every blessed thing we did was wrapped around the smokes so relearning life definetly takes time and effort but it's very Doable and absolutely worth it.....

Quitting smoking and remaining quit is definetly difficult to say the least but very Doable and anything in this life worth having takes time and effort so quit if you haven't already and hang on tight if you're struggling, it's going to take time to get through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and moodswings to get to that point where you realize just  how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes as Dale says The Only Way Out Is Through and boy oh boy what an awesome feeling it is when you finally can look yourself in the mirror and smile because you made it through to that good place in your quit and know that Life just keeps getting better and better being an EXer! - N.O.P.E  - Not One Puff Ever - because  - S.I.N.A.O  -Smoking  Is Not An Option . There's definetly Life after Cigarettes and it's every individuals choice to reach out and grab the best gift that anyone Will ever give themselves which is the gift of LIFE! Freedom Rocks! But we all have to plow through the rough patches by stacking up our precious Days WON.....

I feel It's Extremely important to be EXtra vigilant No Matter If we're on Day WON or Day 1,001 because the closer we get to the Christmas Holidays with all of the Hustle and Bustle of the Season people allow themselves to get stressed out thinking everything has to be Just So Perfect and the Meaning of Christmas gets lost and for us EXers striving to get things done can cause cravings and rough patches so we need to have our guard up and say right out loud that we are EXers so we don't do that anymore and I know for me the last couple of Christmases I do what I can without causing unnecessary stress and or pain to my arthritic hands and just about everywhere else in my body, now I can enjoy the festivities with my family and friends without the stress and pain so do what you can and enjoy the Reason for the Season and protecting yours and my precious quit  is Vital to our health and Well-being and this is all in my humble opinion all I want is for everyone to quit and stay quit while going about life's ups and downs of every day living so stick N.O.P.E. - Not One Puff Ever  And enjoy the Season.

I pray that I Will - N.E.F. - Never Ever Forget my day One and the early days and wks of my quit because only Days WON Will do, I pray that for all of us Exers and if you're reading this and just thinking about quitting please read everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit because there's a wealth of information here to strengthen your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom and if you're struggling hang on tight and don't let go because you can get through the rough patches, believe it and each evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile and say yay for another Day WON! Quitting smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but very Doable and anything in this life worth having takes time and effort and quitting should be at the top of the list of things to do plus we should have a much better quality of living without the crutch of cigarettes, we woke up to 6.5 inches of the white stuff this morning so I believe Winter is here and I have to admit it does look pretty.  the plow already did a swipe in the driveway and hubby cleaned the vehicles off , the top pic is my 14 yr old Samantha Digger Jane Hartley in her dog run this morning.

 > We can do just about anything We put our minds to and quitting smoking should be at the top of the list of things to do and definetly should be at the top of the list of things to protect because our lives literally depends on us remaining smoke free and life is so much better without the crutch of cigarettes so quit and get through the rough patches and come out the other side smiling and realising that life really does get easier and easier with time under your belt.

Don't let the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season screw with your quit! That goes for all of us whether we've quit a day a month a year five years or ten years we all need to be EXtra vigilant especially through the holidays so if we start getting overwhelmed by shopping, baking, cleaning ,wrapping or whatever take a deep breath and know that life is going to happen whether you smoke or not so hang on tight to the best gift ever which is your precious quit!

Taking back our lives from the disgusting nicotine is the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of Life!

Wow the morning totally got away from me, I had a friend pop in and  invited me out for a Tim Horton's coffee first thing this morning with my car and of course we went window shopping and I just got home and read Nancy's post and I realized yikes I forgot to blog on this rainy Hump Day in December sorry my friends and fellow Exers but hey I'm smokefree and had a delicious cinnamon roll with my Tim's coffee. The lady that treated me smokes and had one every stop we made but not me because I don't do that anymore! I say Yay for all of us Exers because we know with N.O.P.E. - Not One Puff Ever & Vigilance that  S.I.N.A.0. - Smoking Is Not An Option & let's be sure to  - N.E.F. - Never Ever Forget  - our Day ONE  - Only Days WON will do because we are never going backwards but we'll  keep moving forward because Freedom Rocks.

There really is an awesome life after cigarettes but a person has to believe that they'll get to that good place by being willing, determined and totally committed to go through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawls and mood swings, lack of sleep and whatever else there is because it's all worth every darned thing we have to go through to kick the nicotine poison to the curb to live the rest of our lives Free to go anywhere, anytime  whenever, wherever and however without wondering where to sneak off to suck on a disgusting  cancer stick. Quitting Smoking is a Choice, I'm so glad I made that chose to quit and  took the chance to change my life because after 40 yrs of Slavery to the Cancer Sticks and finding out I have mild copd was my wake up call to bite the bullet and stop playing Russian Roulette with my life so I found this Community and to make a long story short I quit and stayed quit with perserverance and the wonderful people here rooting me on plus there's a wealth of information here so I read everything I could find which strenghtened my resolve to keep stacking up my smokefree days, was it difficult? HELL YES! but anything in this life worth having takes time and effort and quitting Smoking and staying quit should be at the top of the list of things that must be done while we're still on the right side of the grass and we deserve a much heathier lifestyle for our family and friends but most importantly for ourselves because if we don't take care of ourselves no one else can do it for us and I know that I've been one of those Happy Quitters for quite some time and reaping the benifits of an Ex Smoker and it's super Fantastic and with the right mindset we can do just about anything we put our minds too!

Stick close to this site because we as a community of Exers are all here for you to help in any way we can and want you to succeed in kicking the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom, quitting smoking after decades of smoking is definetly difficult to say the least but by educating yourself on this horrid addiction by reading everything you can about quitting smoking and remaining quit and by believing in yourself by being willing, determined and totally committed and pushing through each day WON with perserverence and dedication then you will be successful, it's going to take time to get through the rollercoaster ups and downs of withdrawls and moodswings and to relearn life without the crutch of smoking but it's absoloutely worth it to be Free so hang on tight, keep your mind as well as your hands occupied and know that joining the ranks of an Ex Smoker is the best gift that you or any of us will give ourselves because it's the gift of life! With hubby doing the stirring for me I just kneaded down a batch of bread which should be all cooked by lunch time, my batches are quite big we usually get 13 loaves and a small pan of rolls so every 8 to 10 days it's bread making time I try to wait until the wk ends because like most of us that's getting older I just turned 58 and full of arthritis just about everywhere but my hands are the worst especially my thumbs so I like hubby helping, people say get a bread machine, I say I'd wear them out too fast! We don't buy store bought bread at all Mark won't eat it and neither would Mason here at Gram & Gramps   I'm rambling sorry about that. Quit Smoking if you haven't yet educate yourself by reading about this addiction because there's a wealth of information to strenghten your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb permanetly and if you're struggling hang on tight and don't let go until you get through the rough patches, stay close, blog help read Dale's page concerning the1st 4 months of quitting, I read his page every time I hit a rough patch plus I blogged and there was always someone here to help so keep stacking up your Days WON. I love being able to have a few sips of coffee and being able to function like putting on a batch of bread because when I was a smoker 1,238  days ago I NEEDED 3 or 4 coffee and 5 or 6 cigarettes to get my butt moving but not anymore and it's been this way for a long, long time and it's totally awesome. There's life after cigarettes and it's there for the taking you just got to reach out and grab it and don't let go until you come out the other side smiling because quitting smoking is a choice so choose life and hopefully EXtend your quality of life by a few years that's my wish for all of us to take back our lives and enjoy living to the fullest as Exers because life is Grand without a cigarette in hand.....

Once we quit smoking and plow through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawls and mood swings and at times back to back cravings that seem almost overpowering, notice I said almost! Although when you're in the midst of one of them it really does feel overpowering but that's where N.O.P.E. Not One Puff Ever & Vigilance must be applied immediately! Get busy doing something, anything at all to protect your quit, keep moving forward stacking up your precious smoke free days and each night you can look yourself in the mirror and smile because you made it through with another day WON, it's going to definetly take time to relearn life without without the smokes but boy oh boy it's absoloutely worth it to be Free so chin up and hold on tight to the best gift that you or any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of life! Hang tough because there's definetly life after cigarettes and the only way out is through so hang on tight so you can get to that good place in your quit and say yes to loving Freedom.
