Believe it or not life really does get easier and easier with time under your belt so chin up and grab onto the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE! If you stop and thinks about how many decades that you smoked then it only stands to reason that it's going to take some time to relearn different ways of dealing with life's issues without the crutch of smoking and the only way out is through but boy oh boy it's absolutely Doable and definitely worth it to be FREE but you must stick with your quit!

With willingness, determination, commitment and perseverance we all can be living a life of Freedom and reaping the benefits of an Ex Smoker, I used to think that I couldn't quit smoking and at times thought I really didn't want to anyway but after finding out that I have mild copd that was the kick in the butt I needed to realize that I wasn't invincible that if I didn't brighten up I'd most likely end up on oxygen 7/ 24 or worse so I found this site and read everything I could about quitting smoking and Remaining Quit because there's a wealth of information here to strengthen anyone's resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb, was it easy for me or anyone else thats quit in the early days and wks? HELL NO! But was it worth it to be FREE? HELL YES! Now all of us Exers are enjoying our Freedom from the clutches of the cancer sticks but we'll always continue to be vigilant while going about our daily lives because we don't ever want to become complacent - N. E. F. - Never Ever Forget - the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and mood swings, quitting smoking is definitely difficult to say the least but it's absolutely Doable and our lives literally depends on us to stick with our quits no matter what!

Life happens whether we smoke or not so choosing Not to smoke no matter what is happening is Key to a lifetime of Freedom, in the beginning of quitting it takes believing in yourself along with the willingness, determination, commitment and the perseverance to plow through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and mood swings to come out the other side realizing that there really is Life after cigarettes but you must stick with your quit so you can get to that good place in your quit and start reaping the benefits of an Ex Smoker, it's definitely going to take some time to relearn different ways of dealing with life's issues without the crutch of cigarettes but if you stop and think about how many decades upon decades that you smoked then it makes sense so take it one day at a time or one minute or even one second at a time but as long as you keep moving forward and stacking up your precious DOF then you can enjoy your awesome Days WON each and every day.

The last several days have felt like Summer not Fall, we've even broke records here in NB yesterday for the high temperature plus we had a heat alert along with the humidity but this morning is much easier to breathe than the last few days, I'm so happy that I quit smoking because I would've been smoking in this sticky humid weather anyway and coughing, choking and nearly horking up a lung or possibly both of them while trying to suck on one of those disgusting Cancer Sticks, whew it's great to not have to put myself through that anymore because it's hard enough to breathe when the humidity is as high as its been, quitting smoking is the answer to any kind of weather because we all know that our lives literally depends on us to take charge plus smoking kills and quitting is essential to breathe because if you can't breathe then it's lights out permanently! Kicking the yuckies  ( cigarettes ) to the curb and burying them 6 ft deep is 100% better than us being put 6 feet under thankfully quitting smoking and Remaining Quit is Doable and and definitely the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE!

There's definitely life after cigarettes and it's yours for the taking but you must stick with your quit because once you get through the roller coaster ups and downs of withdrawals and mood swings to get to that good place in your quit then you'll realize how much better life is without the crutch of smoking but as Dale says and it's absolutely true the only way out is through, once you get through the rough patches and come out the other side smiling you'll wonder why you didn't quit decades sooner but we can't go back but we can continue with our awesome Days WON!

Life is Precious so we must protect it with everything in us and take the best possible care of ourselves that we can so we can be around to enjoy life with our family and friends and quitting smoking should be at the top of the list of things to do for your health, your quality of life and breathing is essential to living, I quit smoking because I didn't want to end up on oxygen 7/24 or worse die a slow painful death which would most likely be smoking related, I gave the cancer sticks 40 yrs of my life and that was enough so with vigilance I'll keep stacking up those precious DOF, I believe I have 1,169 days of Freedom and I'm definitely smiling because I'm reaping the benefits of an Ex Smoker.  quitting Smoking is definitely difficult to say the least but it's absolutely Doable and and definitely worth it to be FREE!

I'm headed out the door in a few minutes to pick up my oldest grandson Adam he's 13 and a half, he was busy most of the Summer so I didn't see him too often, I can't believe why he'd rather hang out with his friends or girlfriend than the old foggies hummmmm can you imagine that?  Hee, hee, Mason my 8 yr old grandson got off the bus Friday to spend the night then Adam called and asked if he could over for awhile so we went to get him, wow those two act more like brothers than 1st cousins they picked at each other the whole time they were together, I separated them a couple of times whew I'm really happy that I quit smoking because I would've been chain smoking out in my patio area, Adam is my son's boy and my son  hasn't been with the mother since before Adam turned two and Mason is my daughter's boy. I love them both dearly along with Emma who's 15 and belongs to my daughter's man whom I see every couple of weeks, it's too bad for broken homes but we do the best we can and quitting smoking believe it or not makes life so much better because life happens whether we smoke or not and I decided N. O. P. E. Makes me happy so quit smoking if you haven't already and if you are struggling please keep stacking up your precious smoke free days and get through the rough patches so you can start reaping the benefits of an Ex Smoker and it's so worth it when you get to that good place in your quit.

I'm so glad I found this site the third week of June back in 2014 after finding out that I have mild copd even though I hid in the shadows and didn't actually start my Day WON until July 14th 2014, I was reading everything I could about quitting smoking here's few phrases I've learned here, Forever Quit  and - N. O. P. E  - Not One Puff Ever - will give you a beautiful Smoke Free Life because S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option and H. A. L. T.  - Hunger, Anger, Lonely, Tired  - taking EXtra good care of yourself may help you through the rough patches but you must keep them away from your face I also know through EXperience along with so many other Exers here that Quitting Smoking is Doable! Is it easy? HELL NO but is it worth it? HELL YES! So quit smoking if you haven't already and if you are struggling please don't throw your quit away instead embrace it, nurture it and protect it and never ever take it for granted because it's the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE, reach out and grab it because it's yours for the taking but you must stick with your quit and keep stacking up those precious smoke free days because it's a Choice whether you quit or not and I really hope you choose Freedom.  I haven't been a lurker since my 18th day of my quit when I was going through one horrendous craving that I thought would never end and actually I'd totally forgot about this site and hadn't been on it since quitting but whew thankfully I remembered and commented on something for the 1st time which got someone asking me to write a blog and say something about myself and my quit and here I am.  one of those Happy Quitters and I CREDIT THIS AWESOME EX COMMUNITY AND ALL OF YOU MY FRIENDS AND FELLOW EXERS! (((((Huge cyber hugs)))))

Our lives literally depends on us to quit and stick to it because life is way too short to knowingly continue to slowly kill ourselves, I'm so thankful that after 40 yrs of slavery to the disgusting Cancer Sticks that I finally wised up and took back my life while I still could but it took a health scare of finding out that I have mild copd otherwise I still might be a sucking on the yuckies  (cigarettes) and nearly horking up a lung or possibly both. My health and my family especially the grandchildren were my incentives to quit and remain quit, what was yours? My 8 yr old grandson Mason called me yesterday afternoon and asked if he could get off the bus and stay the night and of course I had to say yes even though I'm exhausted from the appointments I've had this wk but the good thing is anything and everything I do now is done without smoking because I don't do that anymore so let's always remain vigilant while going about our daily lives because Freedom is what life is all about, always say - N. O. P. E. - because it works when applied on a daily basis .

Quitting Smoking is definitely difficult to say the least but it's absolutely Doable but we can't throw our hands up in the air when we hit a roller coaster of ups and downs of withdrawals, mood swings and rough patches that seems never ending because they will end but unfortunately there's no magic pill therefore as Dale says the only way out is through. When you stop and think about how many decades you smoked then it only stands to reason that it's going to take some time to relearn different ways of dealing with life's issues without the crutch of cigarettes but you can and will join the ranks of being an Ex Smoker by sticking with your quit and stacking up those precious smoke days, there's so much information to read right here on this site which will strengthen your resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom and once you get that Umph you will be smiling, I know that I was and I still am.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mexico right now and I'm still thinking of the cleanup in Texas and Florida and along with the wildfires in California and British Columbia and so many other natural disasters that's happening like hurricane Maria that's out of our control which is so heartbreaking but we have complete control over our quits and I know that I will always choose to remain smoke free because each morning I choose to not be complacent but to be vigilant while going about my daily routine and each night I'm so thankful for another day WON, I've got lots of crap in my life just like anyone else but my quit along with my family is the bright spot that keeps me going with a smile, no matter what is happening in life let's choose to protect our quits, my prayers are with everyone in need please feel God's strength and love!

Each morning before letting your feet hit the floor choose to hang on tight to your precious quit no matter what, chin up tell yourself that you can and will get through this day so this evening you can look yourself in the mirror and smile because you made it through another DAY WON! I pray that I'll always remember those early days and wks of my quit because I never ever want another DAY ONE! There's definitely life after cigarettes and it's super fantastic but you must get through the rough patches first and relearn different ways of handling life's everyday living then you can start reaping the benefits of an Ex Smoker just keep moving forward and stacking up those precious DOF.

There's always going to something going on whether it's good or bad because life happens to non smoking people too, I used to say it's just not a good time to quit smoking and it wasn't until I finally decided to actually quit that I realized that there was never ever going to be a good time that life happens whether we smoke or not and I decided my health and my family was much more important to me that the damned tobacco products so I found this site and read everything I could about quitting smoking which strengthened my resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom. There's definitely life after cigarettes but you got to stick with your quit and keep stacking up those precious smoke free days, I'm so thankful that I finally wised up and quit playing Russian Roulette with my life and bit the bullet and became an Ex Smoker and I must admit that I'm one of those Happy Quitters  I never thought I'd quit or even if I could quit but hey here I am saying yay for all of us Exers, chin up and grab onto the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE!

After 40 yrs of slavery to the disgusting Cancer Sticks thinking I'd probably never quit smoking and I don't know if I really wanted to anyway but during an appointment with a specialist he listened to my lungs and said he didn't like the sound of them so he set up a breathing test which showed mild copd which scared the crap out of me so I found this site and hid in the shadows for quite some time and read everything I could find about quitting smoking and Remaining Quit and literally found a pot of gold right here because I found a wealth of information that strengthened my resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb and start living a life of Freedom, it's definitely not easy by any stretch of the imagination but it's absolutely Doable. I was willing, determined and totally committed to succeed and so can anyone, believe in yourself and know that you can and will be successful one precious smoke free day at a time or one minute or even one second as long as you keep moving forward and stacking up your days WON! N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever will give you a beautiful smoke free life because S.I.N.A.O  - Smoking Is Not An Option!  If you've been quit awhile  - N. E. F.  - Never Ever Forget  - the early days and wks of quitting smoking because another Day ONE would really suck big time! Look after yourself  - H. A. L. Life happens whether we smoke or not and choosing to quit and remain quit is the best decision that any of us will ever do for ourselves and our lives literally depends on us to stick with our quits no matter what is happening in life, there's definitely life after cigarettes and it's yours for the taking, reach out and grab it because Freedom is yours for the taking , you can do it, believe it! It's also very Doable and Remaining Quit is certainly worth all of the withdrawals, mood swings and the hair pulling roller coaster ups and downs because once you get through all of the rough patches and come out the other side smiling you'll wonder why you didn't quit decades sooner, I know I wondered that but at least I finally wised up and took back my life while I still could and so can anyone because once a person believes in themselves and is willing, determined and totally committed to succeed then they can and will be successful. There's never going to be a good time to quit smoking because life is going to happen good or bad whether we smoke or not so if you haven't quit yet now is the time to bite the bullet and take back your life and if you are struggling please don't throw your quit away instead embrace it, nurture it and protect it and never ever take it for granted because it's the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE, chin up and keep stacking up those precious DOF because our lives literally depends on us to stick with our quits!

It's wonderful to know that each of you are ok and I pray that your lives will get back to normal soon but our good thoughts and prayers are still with you and everyone in the hurricane regions and Mexico and the wildfires regions too, wow there's so much devastation happening all over and I pray that Mother Nature will back off so people can get into the areas to start putting their lives back together. Thankfully we know that life happens whether we smoke or not and choosing not is what we must do to protect the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE so hang on tight when life knocks us down because dealing with life's stressers as an Ex Smoker is absolutely Doable and and definitely much better than trying to deal with it in a huge cloud of smoke chainsmoking and not getting much done, huge caring cyber hugs for each of you my friends and fellow Exers from Florida.

Yay for any & every day that is smoke free, I remember my early days and wks of quitting smoking and not really knowing if I was going to make it through without jumping in my car and buying a carton of cigarettes instead of just a pack but instead I'd come here and read Dale's page concerning the first 4 months of quitting and I'd blog about how rocky a time I was having and yay there was always someone here to strengthen my resolve to remain quit. I learned these mantras here! N. O. P. E.  - Not One Puff Ever  - S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option  - N. E. F.  - Never Ever Forget. Even after 3 precious yrs of smoke free living I'll still get the odd thought of aaah geesh surely just one won't hurt and all of these mantras pop into my head plus we all know better than to screw up because that One death stick would put us back to a day ONE and we all must continue stacking up our Days WON!  Because our lives literally depends on It and as Dale says keep them away from your face and if you are struggling the only way out is through. There's so much going on in the world right now that is catastrophic and so heartbreaking and I know our prayers are still going up for everyone needing them in all of the areas of devastation and relapsing wouldn't help a thing but by relapsing you'd be hurting yourself and that would be absolutely horrible so hang on tight and don't let go to the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE!

There's so much in life that we have no control over and it's so frustrating but we do have control over alot of things and quitting smoking and Remaining Quit is certainly the one thing that we do have complete control over! So we must protect it with our lives because our lives literally depends on It. N. O. P. E. - Not One Puff Ever will give us a beautiful life of Freedom and it's ours for the taking and it's ours  to nurture and protect and it's vital to our quality of living so keep on kicking nicotine's butt to the curb, dig a deep hole and bury the poison and start reaping the benefits of an Ex Smoker!

I can't think of anything to say other than Wow and to continue praying for everyone to stay safe that's still in the path of Irma and I'm keeping Houston and Mexico in my prayers as well as all the wildfires happening in California and British Columbia, please keep everyone safe and please protect your quits because relapsing wouldn't help with any of this devastation but it sure would ruin your quit so hang on tight! Hugs and prayers to all!

There's no words for all that's happening around the world right now! So let's continue to pray for all the devastation and please hang on tight to your quit because smoking won't change a blessed thing!

Wow there's so much going on but we need to take a breath and continue our prayers and we must stand firm in our quits and know that relapsing isn't an option but moving forward and embracing our quits is a must, life can really throw havoc into our lives and there's not a blessed thing we can do about Mother Nature's destruction other than to pray but we can and must protect our precious quit so we're not sitting in a cloud of smoke still stressing about all this stuff we can get through anything and everything smokefree but we must believe it and keep stacking up our Days WON!

Mother Nature can be so Cruel but there's not a blessed thing that we can do about that but we do have complete control over how we handle it and believe it or not we can get through horrid situations so much better without the crutch of smoking because when we're protecting our quits and staying smoke free then we can actually get around and try to get the things done that needs to be done! Instead of sitting in a cloud of smoke scratching our heads and wondering what to do while chain smoking, I remember those days and whew I'm so glad that I finally wised up and took back my life while I still could  so hang tough if you are struggling and keep stacking up your precious smoke free days because there's definitely life after cigarettes and it's yours for the taking but you must stick with your quit and plow through the rough patches and come out the other side smiling, each day you get through is another day WON!  Believe in yourself!
