Life can be a real pain in the butt!

Life can be really frustrating at times and this not so new format that we've been living with since the third week of January has been a royal pain in my butt but I've been getting used to it and we're getting lots of new folks here quitting smoking which makes me so happy to see people taking back their lives and living without the crutch of smoking, yay I'm thrilled and you new folks don't know about our old Ex community but I still miss it because it's the community that I came to and was welcomed with open arms and felt like part of the family, I could tell who was on line and if someone hadn't been around for awhile and I noticed them I'd tell them they were missed and 9 out of 10 times they'd comment back how much it meant. It's different now but I've been getting used to it but this new deal with being monitored, censored or whatever you want to call it is plain ridiculous in my opinion, I know I've only been around a little over 3 yrs and I only remember twice once on the old format and once here that foul language was used and actually directed at someone and on the old format it was handled amongst themselves but here on this platform everything is monitored and I really find it aggravating and feel like a little kid having my fingers slapped even though nothing is directed at me because I don't use profanity but I'm part of this community and we should be treated like adults and all the new quitters and the people hiding in the shadows reading this needs to know that we're a welcoming site and if they happen to use a swear word to describe their rough patch in their quit that it won't be censored out so it looks like this xxxx as our friend and fellow Exer Diane Joy would say Take what you need and leave the rest ! speaking of Diane she had a rough time here too not to long ago and I'm so glad we reached out to her and she came back, I find there's way too much drama lately and this is just my opinion so no one has to comment but I just wanted to put my feelings out there. I used the @ mention the other day on a blog trying to be part of the conversation but maybe the person didn't get the notification so I didn't bother with it which is fine and that's not the issue! The issue for me is the concern of new people being censored, I'm done whining and even though I'm stressed out and frustrated I'm secure in my quit and will protect it with my life because my life depends on It and the same goes for each and everyone of you reading this please stand firm in your quit and be vigilant while going about your daily business.  life is way too short to knowingly continue to slowly kill yourself so quit smoking if you haven't already done so and if you are struggling please don't throw your quit away ! S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option - N. O. P. E. - Not One Puff Ever - will give you a beautiful smoke free life - N.E.F - Never Ever Forget  - the early days and wks of quitting smoking because another day ONE would really suck big time but another Day WON - is super fantastic so hang on tight and don't let go until you get through the rough patches and come out the other side smiling! Also H. A. L. T. - Hunger, Anger, Lonely, Tired  - is great to remember because we need to take EXtra good care of ourselves so we can protect our quits and reap the benefits of an Ex Smoker!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
