Another Hump Day is here ♡

All schools are closed throughout NB due to the storm and  the treacherous road conditions but I'm sure the kids are happy to get another storm day, hubby went to work, my daughter has the day off so Mason and her can enjoy some quality mom & son time together. I just shoveled all the steps off and I'm guessing we already got at least 6 inches of snow but it's supposed to switch over to a mixed bag of everything, I remember before quitting smoking a little over 2 and a half yrs ago shoveling a ft of snow and taking a break leaning on the snow scoop sucking on one of those yuckies  (cigarettes) ughhhhhhhhhh, I can't imagine doing that now after being FREE and enjoying being able to go anywhere, anytime, whenever, wherever and however without sneaking off somewhere to suck on a disgusting cancer stick. It took finding out that I have mild copd before I wised up and decided to stop playing Russian Roulette with my life, I always figured that smoking related illnesses happened to other people but not me  because in my addicted mind I thought I was fine even though I choked and coughed and sometimes coughed so hard mostly in the mornings that I thought I might hork up a lung or maybe both but I am thankful for the scare because after 40 yrs of smoking and a half dozen half hearted attempts at quitting I decided to bite the bullet and stop smoking and take back my life so I found this site and read everything I could here, I lurked in the shadows for quite some time, I believe that I was 18 days into my quit when I was ready to scream and rip my hair out and jump in my car and head straight to the grocery store and buy a carton of cigarettes, screw the pk and literally smoke my brains out but I promised myself no matter what I would never pick up another cigarette but I wanted one so bad but then thankfully I remembered this site whew so I got on line and started reading and calming down and I figured out how to comment on someone's blog, i believe it was Moody that asked me to write a blog and tell you a little bit about myself and my quit so I did and here I am 940 splendiforous smoke Free days later, you can go back and read my first post if you want, I was a total wreck and definitely had some rough patches but many of you helped me to get to where I am today which is a Happy Quitter and as long as you are willing, determined and 100 % committed to succeed then you can and will be successful because hell  yes Quitting smoking is definitely difficult but hell yes it's most definitely Doable and so very worth it all to be FREE so quit if you haven't yet and if you are struggling don't give up because it's going to get easier but you must stick with your quit and keep stacking up those precious DOF - Days of Freedom!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
