There was no school yesterday due to the back roads being slippery from the mixed bag of weather but my daughter brought Mason for  noon and we headed to the hospital for my caradit doppler ultrasound, the main road was fine. I got there early enough to see my sister and leave her laundry and then I went and registered, I brought Mason's DS so he'd have something to do, when I was called in we got him to wait in lthe waiting room with the TV on the kids channel and I told him to stay put and wait for me, anyway it seemed to take soooooo long and I never had one before. I was about to say maybe she should check on my grandson but then she was done. Poor Mason he said I thought you forgot about me and left aaah I felt so bad, he'll be eight the end of March. My mother in law and I have a Dr's appointment this morning which I wouldn't even bother going except I do it for her so she doesn't have to drive herself especially in the winter, she'll be 90 on the 28th. Life keeps us busy which is a good thing especially in the first months of quitting smoking, keeping your mind as well as your hands occupied is great, drink lots of water and I liked chomping on carrots and celery sticks, I know this sounds strange but the chomping noise calmed my craving down weird I know. I also gained some weight because I love chocolate and potato chips but I wasn't worried and neither should any of you if you are just starting your quit because gaining a few lbs won't kill you but continuing to smoke could or at least cause a multitude of smoking related ailments. So hang on tight and keep moving forward and know that life will get easier and easier as time goes on but unfortunately you must go through whatever cravings, withdrawals, mood swings and whatever else but it's so very worth it all to be FREE!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
