MY future daughter in law Heidi picked me up yesterday morning and then we picked up my daughter Mandy and we went shopping an hour away for the afternoon and had a delicious Chinese buffet which I wanted to pay for but they insisted on treating me . 🙂 I sat in the back and let the ladies have the front because they both smoke they had the windows down some thankfully it was a mild November day so It wasn't too cold . Luckily I am secure in my quit at well over 2 glorious years in now so the only thing I thought was I am so thankful that I don't smoke anymore , I had no desire what so ever to smoke but even so I still push vigilance for me as well as you because if I happened to be in a different mindset and let myself get complacent and lazy in my quit then maybe just maybe I would think Aaah just one would be ok which of course we all know how dangerous that thinking is . My cough was finally coming to an end yesterday which was great because there must have been 20 cigarettes smoked between the two of them on the road trip and I actually got a decent nights sleep as well without the cough , plus I got quite a bit of exercise too tramping the malls which probably helped me sleep in the first few weeks and probably months of my quit , I wasn't around too many smokers and no one came around too much either because I probably wasn't the nicest person during that period of time so everyone avoided me like the plague , they all knew through previous failed attempts at quitting how cranky , irritable and unreasonable I could be so they just stayed away which was A ok by me !
