Today is my Dad's 80th birthday , I took him out on Wednesday for a birthday lunch which we both enjoyed, my father is great  singer and guitar player and Mom bless her soul will be gone 5 yrs the end of January and she was also a great singer , they sang in church together quite often and way before I was born and I will be 57 soon , I'm told Dad used to play at the jamboree's as well . I can't sing at all and neither can my brother but both of my sisters have beautiful voices and my neice and her husband have a band and sing in all of the local churches , my parents raised her from the time she was 1 year old , anyway I don't know what happened to my brother and I in the voice department but I called Dad when I got up and asked if he'd like me to sing Happy Birthday to him and he said he'd love me too, we were both being silly  so I sang quite silly and he said that I missed my calling that I should have been an opera singer , hee , hee , hee , I love my Dad and I told him that I was so thankful that I quit smoking other wise I wouldn't have been able to hold the notes on my birthday song to him with the word youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ,because if I was still a smoker , I know I couldn't have held that note without coughing and choking and possibly horking up a lung or maybe both . yay for being an Exer . ☆ Stay devoted to your quit everyone , there's nothing but positives in getting rid of the crutch of cigarettes , you must look at the big picture because your health , family and even your wallet all benefits and your quality of living should be so much better but you gotta get through the rough patches first and then start reaping the benefits of an Ex smoker so hang on tight and continue stacking up those precious smoke free days ! Mason is coming over shortly for an overnighter and I got to figure out what I'm baking  for a pot luck deal tommorrow afternoon  whew for at least 30 people, I don't care much for these but I promise that I won't smoke over it or anything else because I love my FREEDOM way too much to jeopardize my splendiferous quit!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
