I woke up thinking this morning about how when we really want something we go after until we get it and in my opinion quitting smoking isn't any different other than by doing so, you most likely will be saving your life, we go after trivial things and don't stop until we get whatever it is. I know that smoking is a horrible addiction but I know that it can be defeated with sheer determination as long as we are willing determined and totally committed we will be successful, I wanted my life back after 40 yrs of smoking and when I found out that I have mild copd that was the straw that broke the camels back so I found this community read everything I could find about quitting and remaining quit and then I forgot about it until my 18th day when I was having a rough time and was ready to tear my hair out or possibly rip off someone's face off and head straight to the grocery store and buy a carton of cigarettes instead of just a pk but then I remembered this site so I started reading and commented on something and thankfully someone mentioned that I should write a blog and tell them a little bit about myself so I did and here I am 827 splendiferous DOF and counting, if you want something bad enough then you've got to believe in yourself and hang on tight, get through the roller coaster ups and downs of mood swings and look for the light at the end of the tunnel maybe it's just a flicker right now but keep stacking up those precious days and that light will get brighter and brighter but it's up to each of us to continue on this wonderful journey to be Free from the clutches of the dreaded cancer sticks! Don't throw up hands and give up no way no how, chin up and hang tough because quitting smoking is absolutely doable and absolutely worth besides that there really is life after cigarettes and it's super fantastic so keep moving forward because victory is right around the corner and it's yours for the taking, the more stressful life is getting for me lately the more thankful I am an Exer because smoking isn't even an issue for me anymore because I don't want to end up on oxygen 7 / 24 because I am a Happy quitter and life is way too short to slowly kill myself so I choose to remain vigilant each and every day so let's say this evening YAY ANOTHER DAY WON!!!!!

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
