Share your quitting journey
My husband Mark has to work on this Thanksgiving Monday ugh, this is the first job where he had to even though it's not a statutory holiday but I plan on doing as little as possible. We had his Mom up for a huge feed and once I took her home and got the dishes done up we relaxed with some comedy TV, I laughed so hard my stomach hurt, I remember the early wks of quitting smoking and having some horrendous cravings someone here suggested laughter so watching comedy TV, dvd's and or youtube which is a great distraction and it works super fantastic because when we're laughing, a cigarette is the farthest thing on our minds and I was willing, determined and 100 % committed to succeed no matter what but I still went through some hair pulling roller coaster ups and downs of mood swings but I knew after 40 yrs of smoking and after reading everything here that I could and would get through as long as lived by N.O.P.E - Not One Puff Ever which worked for me and will work for you is it easy? Hell no but is it worth it? Hell yes! We all look after our outward appearance so we must start looking after our insides and quitting smoking is definitely difficult but a must so we can be around as long as possible but our quality of life should be our top priority so let's keep moving forward and stacking up those precious days of smoke free living and if by chance there's someone reading this that's thinking about quitting, now is the time to take back your life while you can before it's too late!
