My husband will have 2 yrs in tommorrow since quitting smoking and that got us talking about our health scares, he had two chest xrays and a cat scan which showed mild emphysema and by the time he saw his doctor for the results , he already had a month in. I continued to smoke because I had chest xrays a few months earlier and they were fine but luckily a specialist that was giving me results of a biopsy on my thyroid which was fine decided to listen to my lungs and set up with a spirometry test which showed mild Copd which shocked the crap out of me because I didn't know the difference between the two, anyway my health is 100 % more important than the cancer sticks 650 precious smoke free days and counting. Quitting smoking is doable. As long as we N.E.F - Never Ever Forget the early days of our quits and make sure to apply N.O.P.E - NOT One Puff Ever because S.I.N.A.O - Smoking Is Not An Option, I am thankful that my husband and I value our health enough that we are fortunate enough to be EXers and the best part of it is that we're happy being free, if you haven't quit smoking yet now is the time or if you are struggling hang tough and stay close to this site because you can and will succeed but if you don't believe me quit and remain quit for at least 3 months or 4 for sure and prove for yourselves how much better life is without the crutch of cigarettes.

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
