I can't think of a blessed thing to say this morning, other than stay strong in your quits, keep going forwards because you must give yourself the time to get through the roller coaster ups and downs of mood swings from the many decades of smoking. I smoked for 40 yrs and in the first few weeks of my quit I had a very clean house and did an awlful lot more baking than usual but my point is keeping your mind as well as your hands occupied helps alot plus as Dale says and it really works is saying that I don't do that anymore. I remember times in the beginning, I'd yell at myself by saying it. I actually think that I wrote that in a early blog that I argued with myself that I don't smoke anymore, hee, hee and I WON the argument because it's been 513 days since quitting, please hang tough because quitting smoking can be a hair pulling EXPerience but know in your heart that it's going to get better. I think somewhere between 2 and 3 wks I began to feel a little bit better in my own skin but it's worth all the discomfort to be free of the slavery of cigarettes. I pretty much sound like a broken record but I do it for myself as well as all of you my friends, we must always remain vigilant and protect our beautiful forever quits because our lives depends on it, there's absolutely life after cigarettes and it's great to be able to play with the grandchildren outside and make snow angels or whatever, just keep plowing forwards my fellow Exers.
