I didn't think I was going to be able to get on site this damp, dreary morning but luckily I am on wishing everyone a wonderful smoke free day and to everyone that is new here, one day at a time, one hour at a time or if need be one minute at a time or even one second at a time . Quitting smoking is definitely doable and definitely worth it, I am on my 378th day of freedom from smoking and it's the best decision that I have ever made in my life . Three wks before I quit smoking , I had a breathing test done and flunked it finding out that I have copd which scared the crap out of me, so I decided I was quitting smoking, I set July 7th of last year but when the date came I knew I wasn't ready so I set July 14th / 14 as my quit date and knew that when the 14th came this was it, that under no circumstance would I smoke again. 40 yrs of smoking was enough and I decided it was time to take care of my health and not continue smoking knowing that my copd would get worse. I have seen people on oxygen including my presious Mother, God bless her soul, she passed away 3 and a half yrs ago. Stay strong and stay vigilant in your quits because we must realize we need to breathe in order to live and smoking takes our breath away and kills, I choose life over smoking.
