I slept right in till 9 am, actually the phone got me up. I was very pleased yesterday at the dentists office being able to say that I quit smoking 6 months ago to the day, what a great feeling and they wrote it down in my chart. I had jaw surgery back in 2001 there were many reasons for the surgery including my bite being way off I had to wear braces for over a year before the surgery anyway 8 screws 4 plates and a hook and an eye hold my jaw together and I must say that I am really glad that I had the surgery because it worked. I used to be in chronic pain all my waking hours and constant head and neck pain, now I am so much better it's just when I have my teeth cleaned and having impressions done like yesterday. I wear a bite plain on my upper teeth and a retainer on my bottom teeth at night to protect my teeth and jaw because I grind them really bad. I was wired shut for 2 wks when I had the surgery what a way to lose weight, it took me a month or more once the wires were cut to be able to open my mouth wide enough to put a spoon or fork in and relearn how to chew food. I guess sleeping in this morning and my jaw being tired brought back the memories. Life is good and I am so happy to be able to say I have over 6 months in for quitting smoking, hang in with your quits everyone because it's Sooooo worth it once you get through these roller coaster ups and downs of quitting smoking and get through to a good place in your quits you will realize quitting smoking was the best decision you ever made in your life. Hang tough and enjoy the day.

I'm a proud Gram of 2 grandsons and a granddaughter and I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none, plus I enjoy reading and being outside and since quitting smoking breathing is so much easier because I'm not coughing half of my time sucking on a cancer stick....
