Phillippians 4:13

I can do all things through Jesus Christ which strengthens me.

People often ask how am I capable of doing the things that I do?   Whether I am dealing with a wayward child, a sick relative, failed relationship, restoring a home, mechanical repairs, running a 5K, and maneuvering an obstacle course... just to name a few or my many life crises: this scripture is always with me.  Along with Mohammed Ali's "float like a butterfly sting like a bee." ) when I am running. Just telling it like it is)

I remember the day in 1983 when Evander Holyfield (World Champion Boxer) made a surprise visit to our office building.  Someone came to me and whispered where he was. I located him and I asked him for an autograph.  He signed his name along with this note. "Phillippians 4:13."  When I got back to my desk I searched my Testament for the passage. I can do all things through Jesus Christ which strengthens me.  I had heard the passage many times but this time it stuck with me.

At one point I had this scripture framed hanging where I could readily see it.  To make a long story short, I am a witness that if we BELIEVE, we CAN do all things through Christ...NOT ON OUR OWN...We can make it.  I believe I can and I do, did, have done and will do through His power and strength.  Amen

Write a note to yourself.  Keep it where you can see it.

I Know that I can _______________________ through Jesus Christ who gives me the strength.

Fill in the blank with your crisis

Yes, YOU can make it.  He has already given you the strength, just use it!

Today God continues to use me.  It is a Joy that will extend to others.  I am not to mistake it for something that I am doing but what the Holy Spirit wills.   I am not to take credit but to watch in delight as the Spirit flows from me to others.  I am not to try and control it.  I pray, Amen.
