While Mark has been diligently removing content from the site and addressing each of your concerns, our team behind the scenes has been busy this morning exploring the best solutions. Please know this is a top priority for us to get right. Our approach will likely involve a combination of technical elements that will be invisible on the back-end, along with some new community moderation guidelines. As Mark has noted in previous posts, we have tried to strike a delicate balance between maintaining a community that is open and easy to use, while still preventing malicious users from wreaking havoc. It is clear that we will need to shift this balance, and are actively determining the best ways to do this.
We share your frustration and are working hard to resolve this. Much like fungus, spammers will continue to rear their ugly head in some other form. We plan to outlast them and hopefully remain one step ahead.
