Share your quitting journey
~~ I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.~~ Hafiz
It's there, you know. Whether you feel it or not...whether you believe it or not....you have an astonishing light that is all your own. And it's radiant and it's warm and it's brilliant. Mostly, though, it's waiting for you to acknowledge it and let it shine.
Your smile? Unique and beautiful and someone is better today just because you shared it with them.
Your wisdom? Intelligent and thoughtful and full of kindness that others so very desperately need.
Your sense of fun? It's waiting to take you on adventures galore and there are people and places waiting for you to notice them.
Your spirit? Full of love and full of life!! Waiting for you to let go of the addiction that ties you to a schedule of feeding it.
I am constantly astonished by the light of people. The remarkable life inside each of us. I think sometimes that same life yearns to be let out. To play. To explore. To delight in being alive.
Let go of the things that tie you to smoking. Let go of the addiction and the cycle of quitting and the never-ending battle of smoking versus wanting to smoke. Because it doesn't have to be like that. It doesn't have to be all agony or nail-biting moments.
Let out your light. Let out the inner you who wants to play a bit. Let out the adventurous side of you...that curious you who wants to discover and explore. That mischievous side of you who likes to laugh and have fun. Be generous in your giving of yourself to the world. Be outlandish. Be real.
The world is waiting for you.
