The World Awaits

I could have made a big mistake during the early days of my quit by not knowing what to do with myself during those "I have a urge to smoke" moments.....but I didn't.  I already had a list of things I wanted to do with myself rather than cave in.

Sheri's List of things to do:

1.  Go for a walk.

2.  Learn another language.

3.  Meditate.

4.  Make a list of things I'm grateful for.

5.  Learn to paint a tree.

6.  Write poetry.

7.  Dance

8.  Play an instrument.

9.  Listen to different types of music.

10.  Clean/declutter.

11.  Set a positive intention for the day.

12.  Plan something fun to look forward to.

13.  Volunteer my time.

14.  Accept and become aware of what I cannot control in a sutiation and focus on what I can control.

15.  Compliment at least two people a day.

16.  Develop my talents.

17.  Think about all the people who love me.

18.  Have a picnic.

19.  Name 3 positive attributes I have.

20.  Hula hoop

Ok, I had a much longer list....but you get the idea.  There are so many things to do in life!!  The world awaits your creativity, your kindness, your talents!  Fill your day with things you love to do.  Or things you want to do.  Or things you want to try.  The world awaits you so enjoy it.

Peace to all this beautiful morning.  Special hugs to Shawn....I hope you are feeling better, my friend!

Sheri
