My Apologies

~~Let your dreams be bigger than your fears, your actions louder than your words, and your faith stronger than your feelings.~~  Unknown

A dear friend of mine let me know that he didn't know how to comment on my blog about looking lovely because he didn't feel 'lovely'.  My words often sound pretty and delicate and sweet because, well.....I'm female.  I like pretty and delicate and sweet.

Yet underneath these words are other words although I might not say them enough.....strong, courageous, determined, and dedicated.  Any person, male or female, who quits smoking has these traits.  And to me they are also lovely words 🙂  When you hold on to your quit when you are stressed or hurting, you reflect the strength that it takes to get through life.  When you are afraid that you can't do it....but do it anyway, you reflect the courage it takes to face your fears instead of giving in to them.  When you feel weak inside but continue your non-smoking journey anyway.....you reflect the determination it takes to go on no matter what.

Yes, I often write how I think.  I can't apologize for that.  But I apologize if my words made anyone feel like I wasn't addressing their journey.  I am and I do.  Look in the mirror, my male and female quitters, and you will see what I see.  A success. A hero.  An amazing person who can do anything he/she puts his/her mind to!

I know with total faith that you can quit successfully.  I know you have the strength, the courage, the determination to see it through.  Now it is up to you to realize that same thing.  Because as much as I believe it, you have to believe it as well.  You are a hero......be your own hero, your own best friend.  Keep your quit strong.

Peace to all this lovely Thursday!!

Sheri
