I was on my way to the doctor and I saw this sign and had to get a picture of it because it made me bust out laughing. This sign is close to the lake and a dam that we went by. I told my son to pull over so I could get a snap shot of this sign so here it is. If you are having a bad day maybe this can give you a giggle. I have never seen a sign like this before.

I put some video’s here for you all to watch.

It just took 2 min to 3 min to 4 min just to get to one place on this site. I press F5 to refresh and it still takes that long to get around. This is very frustrating it is just this place tonight I am having trouble with.

I finally got to sleep and did get a good deep sleep and woke up just after 2:00pm. I went out for a drive in the countryside and put my window down to get the full effect of the drive. Then I went to Walmart and got me some Hershey’s kisses milk chocolate and some sugar free Swiss Miss hot chocolate and some tiny marshmallows to put in it. I just gave myself what I needed time to myself away from everything just me.  I woke up feeling stunned still at getting triggered like that yesterday. This was a very loud message to me about keeping my quit safe at all times. Staying busy was the best thing that helped me, going to my quit kit, praying, blogging last night and getting help from all of you. This time when I got triggered it really had hold of me like I started to feel like I had lost my way and nothing mattered anymore but something in me still cared enough to not give up  and so I held on to that feeling and fought and came here to blog about it. I was really losing it yesterday but I came through it and I want to thank you all for helping me. I could feel all of you talking to me when I was losing it yesterday before I even blogged and so I came here and told you all about me being triggered.  I even thought to myself no I can handle this without blogging I don’t need to blog and then I thought practice what you preach Christine get your buns online and blog to get some backup so I did. Thomas was quick as lightning to come and help me first and then more came fast as could be and then I felt like I was not alone anymore going through all of this I had all of you when I had no help at home. I feel so grateful that I have all of you here and I hope all of you stay and never leave. Today was a better day I held on and I still have my quit. Thank you all for being here this is the place for people like us that need support for this addiction.

Hugs to you all I hope you all have a great night.

Yes me I am triggered today. I am pulling out all that I have learned.  I even got to the point that I could hear myself today say I don’t give a crap anymore if I smoke my brains out and that is not like me at all. I am so freaking triggered and it won’t stop. Nothing I read or go back and read that I have said in the past seems to make a difference except it kept me busy and from going to the store to get some smokes. This feeling is like being in a deep hole and it feels like someone keeps pushing me deeper down in it. So much crap is happing to me and it is really overwhelming.  Smoking won’t change anything I know this it will only make my life more hell but that part of me that is an addict is calling me Christine come back you know you don’t give a crap anymore and you know no one in your family is going to stop you. I told that Nico demon get away from me you are a piece of ****  you never cared about me you only wanted to kill me and you were so sorry when I did not die when I had my heart attack and now you want a second chance to get the job done. I’m just venting and trying to stay busy. I just ate a bunch of ice and my mouth is really freezing.  I can do this I know I can I can get through this day and tomorrow and the next day. This day just sucks. I will stay smoke free if I have to slam my hand in the door and break it so I can’t smoke with it.

Ok …… end of rant.

For those that have never read this or want to read it again here are lessons from the geese.

Lessons From The Geese

by Dr. Robert McNeish

(People with disabilities, parents, staff, businesses, etc., all need to work together. Synergy is the concept that when we all work together the end result is greater than if each of us acts independently. There’s a great deal to be learned from the teamwork shown in Lessons from the Geese.)

As each goose flaps its wings, it creates an "uplift" for the bird following. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% more flying range than if each bird flew alone.

Lesson: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.

Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to fly alone, and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the "lifting power" of the bird immediately in front.

Lesson: If we have as much sense as a goose, we will join in formations with those who are headed where we want to go.

When the lead goose gets tired, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies at the point position.

Lesson: It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership – with people, as with geese, interdependent with one other.

The geese in formation honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

Lesson: We need to make sure our honking from behind is encouraging - not something less helpful.

When a goose gets sick or wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow their fellow member down to help provide protection. They stay with this member of the flock until he or she is either able to fly again or dies. Then they launch out on their own, with another formation, or catch up with their own flock.

Lesson: If we have as much sense as the geese, we’ll stand by each other like that.

Lessons from the Geese, was written in 1972 by Dr. Robert McNeish of Baltimore.  Dr. McNeish, for many years a science teacher before he became involved in school administration, had been intrigued with observing geese for years and first wrote the piece for a sermon he delivered in his church.

Lois’s old member page now has a line through it I did know she could not get on her member page so she made another member page here at Ex.  Now Lois’s new member page she had with the name Arky has a line through it.  Did Lois say anything to anyone here about wanting to leave this site?

I came to this site in 2008 wanting to quit smoking and I have accomplished my goal using this site and everyone here. Learning how to be smoke free took me some time but now I am happy I made the commitment to give up my smokes for life. I am so grateful for everyone on this site because this is the only support I have for my addiction. This place has saved my life and it is always keeping me on my toes I am always learning something new on this site.

Christine - Free and Healing for Eight Years and 14 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 202 Days and 22 Hours, by avoiding the use of 58440 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $12,880.74.

I hope you all have a nice day today.

To help me with my quit I take at least two different drinks with me in the car I like to have more choices when I am out. I also take a snack or two if I want one. Hot baths or showers are great if you get triggered it will relax you. Distracting yourself with something that will make you laugh can turn a bad mood around and get you on the right path again like watching a funny movie, watching an animal play or a funny joke. I do highly recommend the reality object in the link below I keep mine with me if I get triggered and it keeps me grounded. We have squirrels in our yard and I like to watch them play if I get triggered because the squirrels do funny things and make me laugh and that turns my mood around. Here are some links to read that can help you and some fun links. If anyone wants to share anything that helps them stay quit please add it to this blog for everyone. Always remember never give up and blog HELP before you light up.

Nothing is going right at the moment. My brother is going in for open heart surgery now. They had to get him stable first because he has high blood sugar and had to thin his blood out some and now he is headed into surgery for open heart surgery that is all I know at the moment. Only one vein is working at the moment for him. Any prayers will be appreciated. He would not stop smoking and now he might die. I hate this addiction.

Update: Wednesday September 28, 2016 10:36pm central time

Everything is getting worse tonight. The doctor was talking about doing the open heart surgery and now they can’t because my brother is not stable enough. The doctor told him if he had not come in when he did then he would have died. They are keeping my brother in the hospital and they are going to try and wait a week to get him more stable and healthier his blood pressure is not good and his blood sugar is high.  My brother is going through withdrawals from smoking also. The doctors told my brother he is going to have to quit smoking. I gave my niece the easy way to quit smoking book to give to him tomorrow with the CD in the back of the book so he could read it maybe he will listen to her. I was told 3 of his veins are blocked and the 4th one is partially blocked. They will for sure need to take a vein from another part of his body for sure the doctor said. He is sweating really bad and I don’t know if that is from the diabetes or the withdrawals from cigarettes or the heart attack or from everything going on. I am emotionally exhausted.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Update: Friday September 30, 2016 at 7:55pm central time.

I had at first typed in for the update time Friday September 30, 2016 at 8:85pm central time that was the twilight zone time I guess at 7:85pm LOL.

The hospital is going to let him go home today and rest and he will sometime within a week get the open heart surgery. The doctors said he was stable enough now today to rest at home for now. My nieces are watching over him. Hopefully he will be ok at home for now until the surgery. I feel a little more relieved he is stable enough to rest at home. Thank you for all of your prayers I really do appreciate them all.

We found our cat angel dead this morning in the garden. She was a very nice cat that never hurt other animals not even a bird like other cats do. Angel was born wild and would never let us touch her but we caught her one time in a trap and got her spaded and got some shots for her that was the last time she would go near that trap. None of the outdoor cats will stay on the porch anymore and I don’t know why and angel was hiding under my car but I needed to go out to the store and so we got her out from under my car and she ran in the garden and that was the last time we saw her until this morning and she was dead and her chest was eaten out and part of her throat area. I feel so bad about it all I made angel get out from under my car and when I had gotten back from the store I parked my car far in the back so she would not want to get under my car again. I had a very hard time getting Angel out from under my car and I knew she never went in the back of the yard area so I parked there. Mom said she did not think Angel felt well and I told mom all the cats were not on the porch anymore but I knew angel was walking slow I thought she was having trouble with her hips but I did not think she was ill. I don’t know what kind of animal would eat a cat like that. We have possums outside and once we saw a fox long ago. Mom said she thought some raccoons got into the pond and messed the whole set up apart but she did not see them do it she just speculated it was raccoons.  My son dug a hole in the garden and we buried Angel this morning. We are torn up inside about this and mom’s blood pressure is very high now I made her take here blood pressure medicine. I have to look for my camera now I have packed away somewhere it can be put outside and I can see on my Tv inside what is going on outside and I hope it works with the light on at night on the porch because it is a day time camera not night time. I got enough going on now with my life and now this happens I am so upset about this. I hope this camera works on the porch so I can see what is going on at night here. We have two more cats outside that are wild and won’t come in the house but they can run fast and jump high to get away I hope they will be ok. I won’t smoke over any of this it won’t change a thing. I’m going to go look for that camera now I think it is in the closet but I’m not sure I rearranged everything not long ago. My closet is packed with stuff I have to pull this and that out to find the camera.

Update: 9/22/2016 Thursday at 6:38pm central time

I found the surveillance camera it took me some time to find but I found it. We finally got the camera to stay up it kept falling down. Maybe now we will see what is going on at night on the porch. I put comments to everyone down below that commented on this blog thank you everyone. I sure do appreciate everyone that came to comfort me today thank you all.

This man lost his eye when his E-Cigarette exploded and it took this to happen to him for him to stop all tobacco products including vaping.  The explosion sent shrapnel 9 feet high into the ceiling and caused a fire. Fragments were also sent flying and breaking some of this man’s facial bones. I will not stand near anyone smoking one of these E-Cigarettes I don’t want this to happen to me. I am so glad many stores now won’t let people smoke these dangerous E-cigarettes in their store. I saw recently a sign in the Walmart window that said no smoking or E-Cigarettes and it brought a smile to my face.

I made my first video on youtube of our cat playing with a laser light.  This video for some reason takes a moment to play.  If you like cats playing you might like this video.  Our cat played with this laser so much it finally broke I will have to get another one he does love to play with it.
