Early Christmas Dinner

Hello all.  Just wanted to say it's my Mom's early Christmas Dinner tonight.  They like to go south to Texas for the winter, so our family and extended family all get together for a traditional Christmas dinner.  We rent a hall, and my two sisters and I cook the dinner at home and bring it there.  We are about 30 - 35 people.  It's going to be so nice with me not smoking for this family dinner.  I have about 15 lbs. of potatoes to peel and mash and about four boxes of soft drinks to bring, as well as the tea and coffee etc.  I am praying my hubby Brian will be able to come with me.  I won't let his illness or not coming be a reason to smoke.  Anyway I'm excited to be getting together with family today. Hope all goes well for us tonight and that there are no tensions.  My brother and his family arrived here early Saturday morning from Iowa and drove through a snow storm to get here.  I hope everyone here at EX has an EXtra special Sunday, like I will!!

I'm a widow now, my husband passed away January 1, 2018 He died of COPD, and pre leukemia and the flu. He quit smoking 15 years ago which gave him extra time. I am a mother, and grandmother. I have smoked for 47 years. I am going to have my forever quit and I'm doing it for me and my two daughters so I can live longer and be with them. I like to read, swim, garden, crochet, paint and doodle. I also enjoy walking and visiting with friends and family. I am 100% making this my last quit. I have been in denial about what smoking has done to me and my kids. I must make a new life for myself and it doesn't include cigarettes. I may already have COPD, but have not been officially diagnosed.
